Some scars are seared on our souls for eternity to witness.

"You are poor, because you have no ambition."

(Ripped from Tumblr)

"Ambition is living a life of great ideals; a magnificent goal in life that must be realised. In the world, there are things that are deemed unfathomable, but there is nothing in this world that cannot be done. The depth of one's ambition determines the potential of one's future."

Backlog post.

Met up with Vivian N during the recess week to discuss summer plans with her. Sure, I did feel regrets because I didn't manage to get into the same summer school as her. But ohwell, we will make do with this. Hmmm. Just hoping that I will make new friends LOL.

I realised that our conversations used to revolve around silly things. Then it evolved to friendships and family problems. However, now it is more of mature talk, like schoolwork and internships. Is this a sign that we are all growing up?

We talked about many things. But one very memorable thing that we talked about, is our previous failures at not being able to meet the mark for our desired degree program. But as circumstances forced us to change major/specialization, we both found a new love in our current studies.

Thankfully we changed/jumped ship, because we were both happier now. Perhaps it was fate that we failed our initial expectations, because it leads us to better opportunities. Fuelled with a passion that is stronger than before, maybe that's why we find it easier to study our new subjects.

I met a primary school friend on the MRT a few days ago, and she shared with me how she just changed her major in her Y2S2. For someone to only change their major in their fourth semester, it really takes a lot of courage because they risk extending their candidature. But still, I feel happy for her because she is happier now.

In life, nothing is easy. You may make wrong decisions here and there, but eventually everything will pick up.

The prettiest smiles hide
the darkest secrets.
The prettiest eyes cried
the most tears.
The kindest hearts felt
the most pain.
