She's the exclamation mark in the happiest sentence that I could ever possibly write.

Perhaps it has been raining in my backyard for too long, because happiness has stopped flowering. I have neglected this little garden of mine, allowing the lovely flowers to droop and wilt. They are drowning in the tears from the skies, and struggling to stay alive from the overpowering weeds.

Now, it's time to take charge and start tending this beautiful place. Mow the yard, trim the hedges. Snip out all the weeds that is strangling these flowers. Learn to grow and care for the flora, love the leaves and flowers. Touch them gently, for your soft touch will make them smile. Flowers of happiness will start blossoming again.

Went Itacho Sushi for dinner the other day with le giffen, Vian, and viola! I am in heaven. Hahahahas! The sushi tasted extremely good (but my heart ached extremely as well). :/

(Salmon Sashimi!)

(Scallop Sushi)

(Squid)

(Roasted Salmon Sushi, with mango-dont-know-what sushi)

(Curry Lobster ??? Sushi)

Hahahas, lousy memory of mine forgot what we ordered, but the sushi are no doubt delicious. We didn't ordered much (that's all we ate), but the bill came up to $58. OMFG. I cried my heart out. It is true that some things are only worth a try. For the experience I guess.

Then we ventured into a shop and decided to be nice souls to help promote their apparels. Check out our 'lookbook' below. Hahahas! :D

(My favourite photo)

(Are we demure yet?)

(Geek mode on!)

(Rock on, babe!)

(Fairies who just descend)

(Finally a normal 'ootd')

Stayed in the retail shop for an hour or so trying everything without buying anything. Hahahas, I had a great day playing 'dress-up' with giffen. :D

(Voted second best in Singapore)

Tried bingsu for the first time also (I'm slow again) at O'ma Spoon and I didn't find it very worthwhile for its price. The bingsu tasted okay okay only, it is like another version of Singapore's ice kacang but with finer ice. However, I don't think it is worth $12.90 LOLOL. Or perhaps it is the flavour that I ordered - Injeolmi Bingsu. But it was one of the popular flavours in South Korea :/ Sighpie, I'm having weird tastebuds. Does anyone felt the same way as I did?? LOLOL! :D

Anyways, thanks lovely for reminding me to take great care of my little garden of flowers. I'm happy. I'm thankful for all the cray cray moments that night, despite it coming with constant judgemental glares from people. Well, at least we're in the limelight.

I wanted words but I heard nothing.

Because I'm lazy, I am still in the midst of arranging my photos from Langkawi... So today's post shall be something related:

World's Top Gorgeous Beaches (Asia version)
(not in order)

Whilst researching for good vacation places prior to my trip, I came across beautiful places on the net. Shall add them to my bucket list. :D

1) Tanjong Rhu Beach, Langkawi, Malaysia
(A tick off my bucket list)

That darn crystal clear waters and smooth fine sand is simply breathtaking. I didn't just stopped at the beaches in Langkawi, I went island hopping as well and visited more beaches. The views that I saw were simply magnificent. Sentosa is peanuts. Hahahahas! (Shall upload le Langkawi pictures asap).

2) Patong Beach, Phuket, Thailand
(I have a soft spot for the greenish-bluish waters)

Fun Fact: The ferry trip from Langkawi to Phuket is only 40 minutes (according to my mangrove boat tour's guide). I should have taken more leave and visit Phuket during this trip. Arghs, how come nobody tell me earlier that Phuket is just this near to Langkawi?! Ohwell.

3) Khao Phing Kan, Thailand
(aka James Bond Island)

This beach has been featured in one of the James Bond movie, and since then, it has been given the name 'James Bond Island'.

4) Railay Beach, Krabi, Thailand
(Beach that is very popular with rock-climbers)

I finally knew that Krabi was in Thailand after Manda told me (I thought it sounded Egpytian -.-) Hahahas! :D This beach is only accessible by boat (tsktsk, prepares motion sickness pills).

5) Ko Lipe, Thailand
(White sandy beach anyone??)

Small island located in the Southern part of the Thailand's Andaman Sea. (P.S. I did ventured into the Andaman Sea during my Langkawi trip, and found it amazing because I actually received Thailand's phone signal LOLOL).

6) Gili Trawangan, Indonesia
(Another popular tourist destination)

Did Gili islands strike you? Hahahas! :D Sparkling turquoise waters that look so inviting!!!

7) Padang-Padang Beach, Bali, Indonesia
(Bali has tons of beautiful beaches, but this is one of the few that stood out from the rest.)

8) Nusa Dua Beach, Bali, Indonesia
(Great for people watching)

9) Coron, Palawan, Philippines
(It looks just like a photo out of a Geography textbook)

Sometimes I hate myself for not being able to swim. If only I could, I will surely attempt the parasiling, water ski and perhaps wakeboard. All seemed freaking awesome! I was tempted to try these out during my Langkawi trip but I was afraid that I will drown or something. The life jackets doesn't seemed that safe after all. Arghs.

10) White Beach, Boracay, Philippines
(If I never remember wrongly, I think my Maths tutor Tony Lee went here for honeymoon or something? Hahahas! :D)

Credits: All pictures ripped from Google images

So of course there are many other beautiful looking beaches around, I'm just sharing some of the nice beaches that I saw on the Internet. Shall do up another post on the world's top gorgeous beaches outside of Asia soon (if I don't procrastinate LOLOL)!

Pick my heart off the floor.

My weekends were exceptionally well. :D #happykid96

Finally took my BTT exam on Saturday after 2.5 months of waiting (which is torturous), and passed with flying colours! Hahahahas! The first exam that I scored 50/50 (aka full marks) ever since Primary 1? LOLOL! :D So thrilled! And to think I was so worried initially cause I didn't really studied much that week as I'm busy with my travel plans. :/ Good thing that BBDC forced the students to pass evaluation quiz before booking for the actual test. LOL! :D Because I studied for the quiz. Hehes!

So went Jurong Birdpark on Sunday because my mama had free tickets. Woohoo! Woke up exceptionally early, only to find gloomy skies. And it rained shortly after that. Sighpie. Hateful weather.

Undeterred, we went to camp in Macs to wait for the rain to stop. Had Macs breakfast after so long, cheers to hotcakes! Hahahahas, feeling so fat afterwards. :3

(Welfie!)

(The flamboyant flamingos)

(More flamingos)

Speed-walked throughout the birdpark because I already went there for countless of times. LOLOL! (: But still managed to catch the two bird shows.

(That white bird)

(Those two black birds)

Lmao! I don't know the name of the birds hahahahas! But the volunteers were damn brave to allow the birds fly over to them. That time I carried my aunt's pet bird, a cute lovebird, and I was trembling like mad. LOLOL! (FYI: The moment I passed the lovebird back to my aunt, it shitted on her hand)

(The tricks that they were trained to do)

Super kawaii! But it was a little hard to see the birds because it is too colourful. The birds are of different colours and the audience are wearing different shirts, so it was quite hard to spot the birds. Lmao.

(Snacktime!)

Virgin attempt at the highly-raved Krispy Kreme (I know I'm slow), and I didn't really like it. It is small-sized and not delicious at all (too sweet) and it costs $2.95 each?! Super not worth it! I ordered Red Velvet, and my sister Newyork Cheesecake flavour by the way. :3

Went to the Breeding and Research Center afterwards (after the bird show), and it was quite fascinating. (Y)

(The machine incubator)

(I forgot what process is this)

(This looks like a toaster to toast the chicks -.-)

(Cannot fathom why birds eat upside down)

(Fully grown bird, I think)

Time to head to the second bird show! This is more interesting to me because we are looking at vultures and hawks now. (They were not trained to do any tricks luh, I guess they were too wild for it LOL)

(The brave volunteer)

(If you think the bird is big here, take a look at the next picture)

(Enormous!?!)

(I think it is around the same size as a 2 year old kid?!)

(Soaring in the sky)

There were also females handling these big-sized creatures. Omg. Scary. The ladies looked super small size as compared to the gigantic birds...

And guess who I saw in the birdpark! My bestie, Amanda the penguin! Hahahahahas! :D

(A child penguin)

(Waddle waddle)

(I even saw Manda in the souvenir store)

Okay, that's all the pictures that I had taken. Great day at the Jurong Birdpark where I get to relieve the inner child in me. Hahahahas! (: Next destination: River Safari, here I come!

Maybe I'm dead now, the day is so still.
How do I run from the truth that is you.
The island is calling, they say I'm at fault,
Don't say I'm the one when we know that I'm not.

Broken-winged.

(Ripped from nonprints.com)

When my boat is sinking, and there's no anchor to help me get my shit together...

Life's seriously a bitch these days. That overwhelming stress that I've never even once felt during the mugging for A's is devouring me now. Even as I'm heading to bed, I couldn't stop myself from thinking and worrying and panicking over life. Arghs. My life sucks.

And I think I'm starting to get incoherent.

This is the first time that I have participated big-time in the planning of a family holiday. I did it myself mostly, with some help from my mummy and sister. And I was so thrilled that my plans were going to be materialised until the coming of MERS, and that's where everything went haywired. x.x (background: I was planning a holiday to my dream place, South Korea). After one week plus of trying to get hold of the Singapore Airlines staff, I finally managed to cancel my flight to South Korea with a full refund. Thanks SIA for such efficiency and understanding so as to refund me wholly, because I actually purchased the cheap tickets which are strictly non-exchangeable and non-refundable. #happykid96 #justiceintheworld I was so pissed off with (I can't actually find something good to blame) because I wasted my 6 months of detailed itinerary planning (I went online to read blogs and even library to study travel guides), as well as the hassle of trying to cancel / get back refund for the flight tickets, hotel bookings and railway tickets. Good news is that my loss isn't that great. Bad news is the fact that all my efforts went down the drain. And that's really bad.

Left with only a week to my due travel date, it is nearly impossible to join any tours / come up with good itineraries / book suitable hotels and air tickets. And this left me even more stressed. And perhaps, lead me to my next big blunder...

*pulls hair*

I decided on Langkawi eventually, as it is far from South Korea (MERS area) and in close proximity to Singapore, but most importantly, small. This is easier for me to plan a 3-day itinerary. Lmao!

So apparently I wasn't clear-minded, and neither was my mummy, because somehow we were cockeyed and booked the wrong dates, resulting in us having to pay $200 more for one less travel day. Omg. How stupid are we. Lesson learnt: do not book / buy things online if you are not clear-minded. :/ So now, I am back to booking of flight tickets / hotels / planning itineraries, and the entire cycle repeats itself. Omg, I'm so sick of this already x.x Sighpie.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they make the best of everything.

Had an eventful Sunday last week. I went for a flu vaccination in the morning (oh boy, the queue at the clinic is !@#$/^&*), before heading for the Rugby SEA games @ CCK Stadium in the noon. (Rugby is not a sports that I have close contact with - I only played Rugby a few times during PE lessons and I didn't have really like it - but because I bought the tickets late and there weren't much choices, and also because it is at CCK stadium hahahas!) :/

It was raining heavily in the morning when the games started, and I was praying hard for the weather to turn better when the Singapore Rugby players battle on the field. The skies must have heard me, because the heavy pelting rain soon ceased to a drizzle and stopped. (: It was cooling.

I knew from the start that Rugby is a rough game. But I didn't know that it was this bad. -points to the picture below-

(Ripped off from Redsports)

That was Singapore fighting against Thailand for Women's gold.

And this was not that bad. There were worse moments, with people being more violent and rough. At a point in time, during a game, there were 4 injuries, and the injured sports players were carried off from the field on a stretcher.

People flew everywhere (literally), and bodies were strewn around. Rugby is a rendition of the famous Singaporean 'taupok' game, where people pile themselves on each other to snatch/defend the rugby ball. :3 Ouch. That hurts.

But thankgawd, all ended well. (: Singapore's women team clinched the silver medal, whilst the men team attained the bronze.

(The award ceremony)

I was seated a tad too far away, so the people are like minute ants. But I can see the playing field clearly when they play luh.

(Ripped from Redsports)

Our guys' players are very buff hahahahas! And spot the middle guy who tied his hair. He looked like some cartoon character.

Love will guide you home and ignite your bones.

Dreamcatchers

 (Ripped from flickr)

Dreamcatchers are increasingly becoming more and more commonplace, as they are popularised by the Korean drama The Heirs. (At least in my opinion, this is the case). So what's a dreamcatcher? What use does it has?

Well, the intention of a dreamcatcher is to 'catch' all the sweet dreams and let them through, whilst blocking away all the nightmares. It was said that the positive dreams will slip through the hole of the center of the dreamcatcher, and glide down the feathers to the sleeping individual. On the contrary, the negative dreams will be caught up in the web (notice that the center of the dreamcatcher looks similar to a spiderweb) and get absorbed by the sunrays when morning hits. So it acts like a filter to protect a sleeping individual so he/she can have a good night rest. I thought this is interesting.

I do have one beside my bed (the cheapo kind luh). And glad to say, nightmares have not occurred for a long time. But neither do I experienced sweet dreams. LOL! It just shows that I am too tired that I'm sleeping too soundly. :P Studies have proven that if you are having dreams (be it happy or bad dreams), it means that you are not in a deep sleep. And that's bad because you ain't resting enough!

Hope everyone have a good night rest today. Goodnights! :D

I can taste the tension like a
cloud of smoke in the air.
Now I'm breathing like I'm running,
'cause you're taking me there.

Smile, you're designed to.

So a few days ago, I made an impromptu trip to the salon and chopped off 4 inches of my hair. It became shoulder-length instantly, and yay I felt lightweight. For awhile only. Stupid weather made me sweat like never before, and I had the urge to cut my hair into a bob instead. Thankgawd I resisted the temptation. My hair is hideous enough. LOLOL! :D Reverted back to short side fringe which I regretted, because now I have to find all my bobby pins and hairclips and everything to keep my fringe out of my face :/

(A piece of Starbucks)

Okay, a totally random photo insert because I have no picture for the day. (Because I didn't want to take pictures with my disaster haircut). Hahahas, and I finally had my Starbucks fix. Shared an Orange Honeycomb Crunch with Manda last week, and drank Triple Coffee Frappuccino with my family a few days ago. So in love with Starbucks drinks. <3

So this week was a little busy. I met up with Xiaofang at Causeway Point after being cooped up in the house for like two over weeks. Hahahas, kidding. I was busy attending theory lessons that made me feel so shag that I was too lazy to get my ass out of the house. (: LOL! And what's the chances of meeting Kaiyuan and her boyfriend there? Hahahas!

Travelled all the way to Bishan to dinner with Huiqi too after not seeing her for eons. It is always a good time spent with her, except for a stupid Starbucks barista for dampening our mood. Teenagers nowadays have no respect for people. T.T

Okay. I am too lazy to type anymore. Ciao! :D

We're surrounded by all of these lies.

I had a long yet busy weekend last week. (: Decided to go hiong on Saturday, and attended my driving theory lessons at 7.30am. Afterwards, I met up with Seah to head to AJC to collect our School Graduation Certificate (SGC). Counting our lucky stars because the general office was opened to give us our SGC although the email stated collection only on weekdays. Phew! (: /blames Seah for not checking thoroughly beforehand :P/ Hahahahas! :D

Then we travelled to Plaza Singapura to register for the psychology camp (why in the world must I travel so far just to pay the camp fees and pass up the forms?!), before heading to Clementi to meet up with the kids. I really travelled the entire Singapore on Saturday, bangwall much.

But ohwell. Finally a long-awaited date with these lovely kids. We played pool and lepak over desserts in Blackball. (:

(Blackball lepak)

(Yangfan needs to improve his welfie skills)

Got home feeling damn tired, but it's worth it because of the great quality time spent. (: Hahahahas! Love my kids so much!

-----------

Sunday was a stay-home day, as I felt bad about leaving my mama at home alone on Saturday (my sister had a funfair). So being another mundane day, I helped my mama with her household chores. Vacuuming, mopping, wash clothes and even bedsheets. I sweat so much?!

-----------

Monday was a public holiday (Vesak Day), and I was feeling elated that I do not need to report for work. Hahahahas! (: Woke up earlier to go to the wet market under the scorching hot sun, packed my luggage for my Korea trip,  and assisted with the baking of a chocolate cake.

I think I became a burden in the kitchen. Instead of being a help, I did something terrible T.T Who in the world knows that sugar and flour can't be mix?! So in the end, I had to use the sieve to separate them. Reminds me of Chemistry SPA sessions LOLOL! (: But ohwell, the end product turns out nice though.

I think I worked too hard / too tired / weather too hot, that I nosebled. First time in my life I nosebled, so it gave me quite a shock. LOL! (: Don't worry, I immediately drowned down tons of tea and cups and cups of water, and my mama even went to cook barley for me. Took a flu pill (because I'm having a mild flu too) and I'm currently putting a mask now to moisture my skin. Lmao. Sighpie. Life sucks.
