Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud.

(Ripped from nancylovephotography.com)

"Darling.

There are those who will light up your sky.
And those whose sky you light up.

There are those who will love you for who you are.
And there are those who you will crave being yourself around.

There are those who will dive into your ocean.
And those whose depth you will want to drown in.

There are those who will make your heart flutter in happiness.
And those whose hearts will flutter at your sight.

There are those whom you will love.
And those who will love you.
And if the ones you love love you back,
Darling, you will forever see joy.

But if they feel the same way you feel about them towards someone else,
Darling, that will be a disaster.

You may be a disaster for a day,
A month.
Or a year.

Just don't be a disaster forever.

Find the harbor of safety.
And find the one who feels about you the same way you feel about them."

Late night conversations.

Last week was super hectic, I swear. Did more field trips at work, and after work was just endless of meetups with friends. T.T I'm so drained. Signs of getting old, x.x Can I just nua at home...

1. Caught a movie with JJ

(Guardians of the Galaxy)

The movie was okay luh. The typical plot you get from all the other movies. There will be evil forces trying to destroy something, then a hero will interfere and after all the fights, the hero will win and save the everyone. Hahaha, cliche much.

I was just so tired that I slept during the first half of the movie. What a waste of money LOL. But at least I managed to wake up and catch the second half, which has all the exciting fighting and action scenes. But still, reached home late at night and immediately concussed out in bed. LOL.

2. Dinner with Hui Qi

Went to eat Mad for Garlic with Hui Qi because she got discount again. Hehehes! One of my favourite restaurant thus far. To be honest, I didn't know it was a Korean restaurant until I come across it on sethlui.com LOL jialat. Then went I scrutinised the menu, I realised there's actually Korean translation at the side. Oops!

(Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza)

The waiter kept warning us that this cheese is very stinky and not everyone will like it; it is similar to blue cheese (or is it a type of blue cheese? LOL, I have no idea). But we don't care, just whack and order and pray that this better be some good stuff.

But hehes, it was a hit! We really love it so much, (: It comes with a honey dipping sauce, but I prefer eating the pizza without the sauce.

(Crab and lobster pasta)

Plate of goodness with crab and lobster meat, cooked in garlic cream sauce. Damn delicious, this is our must-get dish whenever we head to the restaurant.

(O'ma spoon)

What's new. O'ma spoon again, this time green tea bingsu. I love the branch at Marina Square, because it was located in such a ulu area that it was always empty everytime I patronise the dessert shop. But yeahs, we have to walk damn far to get there T.T

3. Dinner with Jiaying

She waited for me for damn long because I was caught up with things. I'm so sorry! We patronized the Kanshoku Ramen Bar at the Somerset branch. It was not bad, but expensive LOL. But then, it is Town, so hahaha!

(Signature Kanshoku Ramen)

Added the ramen egg because it is the most fantastic thing on Earth. I finished the bowl empty, I think the broth is damn nice.

(Truffle Edamame)

This was so epic. We didn't know what was edamame so we asked the waiter. We should have googled omg. He said it was "bean pot" then we were like okay... But you cannot go wrong with truffle rights! So we just ordered and got a shock of our lives.

I think the waiter meant "bean pods", is just that we have listening problems / he has pronunciation problems. But I was thinking about a pot of beans. LOLOL. But yeahs, I don't like to eat beans, and neither do Jiaying. However, to our surprise, the dish was actually nice after we tried it. Thankfully, if not it would be another $5.90 wasted. Hahahaha!

Strolled around Orchard after that and we just kept getting lost. LOL, no sense of direction. How to survive in Korea like that?!

Have you ever noticed how
streetlights turn on too early?
They remind me of our soft
hearts and how, in spite of
the coming night, they glimmer
and let whoever is out there
that we are still breathing.

We are here to heal, not pretend to be perfect.

(Vlog: Celebrating the 21st)

So I turned 21 last month.

I know it was a great deal, because I am finally a legal adult and am 'big' enough to make my own decisions. However, everything just feels surreal to me... There's no flamboyant parties. Just a simple celebration with my loved ones - my dearest family and friends. You can check out my vlog above if you are interested. I put in effort for it. Hahaha! :D

Come to think of it, I have toned down quite a lot. Since young, when I was still a primary school kid, I really love birthday parties. I'd hold one every year, and I'd invite everyone that I know to my party, be it close friends or mere acquaintances. I really would like to thank my parents for helping me prepare for the parties, from the preparation of cake and food to the packing of goodie bags as thank you gifts. Now that I think of it, it was really quite dumb of me. Hahaha! I remember being on cloud nine for lugging a whole bag of presents home, and sometimes I even have to rope in the help of my friend if the presents were too heavy for me to handle it alone. Yes, presents meant a great deal to me then.

Then comes secondary school. Birthdays meant spending the entire day with your family and friends. I'd go play activities such as bowling, pool, table tennis or even catch a movie. The day would then end off with a lavish dinner (during those days when I am just a poor secondary kid, and yes, Swensens is my definition of lavish). It was still fun, and I still received many presents despite the significant reduction since primary school days.

And then junior college. I realised we spent most of our birthday celebrations at a KTV, either Teoheng or Kbox. Every time someone's birthday comes, it would be a pretty standard procedure. We'd go singing after school, followed by dinner. I remember that we have a fun element as well: either smashing cake/flour on someone's face or hiding someone's stationery and books everywhere in the classroom. The most memorable event that I remembered, was the day during my birthday, my clique actually spoke to my lecturer (who was also my Maths tutor then), and in turn he kept picking on me during the entire lecture. HAHAHA. "Birthday girl, please answer this question." And me being me, I didn't pay attention to lectures, so you would have guess the outcome. LOL!

University days. Friends come and go, and with my much smaller social circle, I stopped feeling as enthusiastic as before for my birthday. Since the start of university till now, it has always been a simple dinner celebration with family and friends. Everyone, including myself, is just too busy with school/work such that we can only meet for dinners. And yes, my birthday fall on the last week of the semester, which clashes with all the deadlines. This makes it even harder to do anything much. But I am ever so grateful for those who stay by, and help me celebrate. Thank you.

Ahh, those were the days.

I'm not sure if it is because I am turning old, and hence I kept reminiscing about the past. But I guess I like where I am now. Turning old comes with more responsibilities, but it shall be a journey of learning and gaining knowledge.

Happy 21st to me.

Life can be so busy at times,
that we forget about taking care of ourselves.
Today, make sure you take some time just for you.
You deserve it!

Inhale the future, exhale the past.

End of Week 2 internship.

I did more things at work this week, even though my workload is still pretty much nonexistent hahaha T.T But I'm glad to be given opportunities to do 'field work' rather than just plain office work. It makes the boring office life a little more interesting, no? (: I hope next week would be even better, and I hope my boss will entrust me with more work. Hahahaha! Shit. Am I only intern in the world who hopes to be given more work HAHAHAHA My workaholic instincts are coming back.

But I did something mean at work today that I'm feeling guilty as hell now. Sighs. I need to control myself gosh. I'm sorry...

Anyways, throw back to last week. After visiting my grandma at the hospital last week, I dropped by Square 2 for dinner with the family. Came across this lovely restaurant Chicken Hotpot.

(Pot of chicken shared among the three people)

I am very satisfied with the customer service. The aunties were all very friendly, always walking around to check on the fire and to top-up the soup without asking. Yay! (: I really value customer service!

I also dropped by the Caldecott Broadcasting Center the previous weekend. Mediacorp has recently moved to Mediapolis at One North area, so the authorities conducted a heritage trip at the old Mediacorp place at Caldecott. There's no admission fee for this.

(I was very surprised that the umbrella is actually functional, I thought it was merely a prop hahaha)

(Travelling back in time)

It was meant to be a heritage trip for people to reminisce about the past, but I guess I was from a different era (LOL) so I could not really relate much (i.e. I am not familiar with the shows they said were very popular in the past). Hmm... Nonetheless, I still enjoyed myself. Walking through the sets, enjoying performances put up by the stage actors and actresses.

(The guy is just so funny here)

(I don't know why, but this scene just seemed so ridiculous that it was hilarious)

(Hahaha, why they never wear their clothes properly)

(Great efforts in making the props)

(Police car LOL)

The area of the broadcast center was small, so I took approximately an hour to finish touring. But the show was worth 50 minutes, and it was really worth watching! (: The place also offered this 'music video making' session; basically there are staff shooting us while we film a short MV. The songs they used were popular drama OSTs such as the Aiyoyo 早安老师 song. Hahaha, it was quite an interesting experience! (:

Who says there's nothing much to do in Singapore. Sometimes you just have to go find activities to do. :D

I beg time to give me a window,
a silver of your smile,
a slice of your life.
But what can I do with
this love of mine?

Happiness looks gorgeous on you.

Thank you mummy. Happy Mothers' Day to you, and all the mothers in the world. :D

当你老了

By 莫文蔚

Mothers' Day was spent playing table tennis with the family. After so long, we were all still so horrible at this sport hahaha, except my daddy of course x.x Need more practice ahhh.

(Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Burger)

After which, we ate lunch at McDonalds LOLOL whut even. Finally tried their Buttermilk Crispy Chicken burger and it really tasted damn nice?! It is quite pricey, whereby it costs $9 for the set meal. However, it was quite a big portion so I was really quite full?! Hahaha, such things can just try once in a lifetime will do. I'm not a fan of fast food anyways. LOL.

Life is the most difficult exam.
Many people fail because they
try to copy others, not realising that
everyone has a different question paper.

I'm not looking for a shiny love, I'm looking for someone to rust with.

End of Week 1 internship.

The job was boring for the first two days because we practically have nothing to do. So what me and Jasmine did was just reading of newspapers. LOL geeez.

Thankfully, things start to come along the way. Even though it was nothing much, but at least I'm doing something. My excitement level is rising again. Hehehes! :DD And I'm glad that I'm slowly bonding with the other interns. I'm finally working with people around my age. LOLOL! Can't wait for next week and everything that is in store for me. (Y)

Anyways, it's been awhile since we visited Gain City @ Sungei Kadut, so we are back here for lunch. :D It is really convenient because it is quite near to my house, and the parking is free. Hehes!

(Now I understand why this plate of grilled sotong only cost $4.50. There's so little sotong inside?!)

(Nasi Briyani that tasted meh)

(You can never go wrong with seafood fried rice)

(Craving for oreo cheesecake)

The quality of the food seemed to drop since the last time I was there. Sighs. But ohwell, it is still relatively cheaper than outside, considering it was an air-conditioned area. T.T

Anyways, there is a new food stall at the food court in Lot 1 shopping mall, and so we decided to give it a try. I shared this plate of curry pork cutlet ($7) with the mother, and it was alright. Monster Curry would be better, but you pay for what you eat, so no complains! Hahaha! :D

(Imitation of Monster Curry)

P.S. I am still hooked onto 'The Legend of the Blue Sea', is anyone with me? Hahaha!

She promised her heart that
she'd always listen to it.
The more she did, the more she
noticed that the simplicity in
letting the universe deal with
things was all that the heart wanted.

If you see something beautiful in someone, speak it.

I bought three slices of Pezzo Pizza for the family as supper yesterday. My tutee was raving so much about it that I decided to grab some home to try hahaha. He can remember all the pricing for the different pizza flavours, but not his 9x9 timetable. T.T Seriously. Is the pizza really that good? LOL.

(Sharing a slice with the sister)

And yes, it is really that good. Hahaha! It is like a cheaper version of Pizzahut but they taste similar. Hmm, goodbye Pizzahut. Hello Pezzo. :D I ought to save some money now.

Recently, there were news of merger of junior colleges, and AJC was affected as well. T.T Thus, after finals, I decided to drop by my alma mater with Amanda to have a look. We dressed in our AJC tees once again, and the feelings of nostalgia just hit us badly. Hahaha!

(I have no idea what this crazy woman is doing)

Back to the era where toilet selfies are popular. After we took many pictures, a student just walked in and stared at us. Oops, we were judged so badly eh. This toilet was beside the economics room. Cue: remember Wendy Ng? We actually bumped into her while walking up some staircase. To be exact, she knocked into me. As usual, she was wearing some attention-grabbing dress (bright red this time). LOL. Ohsighs, but she don't remember us anymore. I'm sure she don't remember anyone. Maybe except for Prashanth. She is forever screaming at him during lessons. Hahaha!

(Non Mihi Solum: not for myself alone)

(Back at the AJC wall)

This was where we always put our bags before Physical Education lessons. We took our first and last class photo here as well, with Mr Tony Lee. Hahahas, happy memories that will always stay with me. (:

We saw Ms Yeo when she was giving a consultation outside the staff office. We waved hi and the first thing that shot out of her mouth was "Why y'all wear AJ tees! Oh hor!" Hahaha! I hope she has become emotionally stronger now. We spotted Mr Bell as well buying his cup of coffee again in the middle of the lessons. LOL, old habits die hard. I used to grab coffee for him before the start of every lesson, but now he is buying it himself. Is it GP representative not doing work or he kena complained? HAHAHAHA.

(Coco Ichibanya)

Went Somerset with Amanda to grab some work clothes. Correction: We couldn't find suitable ones, so we just buy ourselves some casual clothes. LOL. We tried to use Eatigo for the first time to make a reservation at Coco Ichibanya, and it was really legit. Hahaha, there was a 20% discount during the 5.30pm timeslot which means I can eat something more expensive LOL! Tried the original curry squid it was the bomb. The squid was really delicious! But okay, the overall was meh. There was nothing on my plate except squid, rice and plain curry. LOL. Okay.

and love in her bones.

Let's take on the world, one city at a time, with you by my side.

When your lips have been peeling since four weeks ago and no amount of lip balm and drinking of mineral water helps to solve the issue... T.T In need of some serious help here sighs. Am I too heaty?!

Ended finals last Thursday, finally?! I was trying to do some module planning for my next semester just now (typical Singaporeans LOL) but sighs, the timetable is not yet out, so I cannot really do much. Ohwell, I shall enjoy the present and worry about life later on. I have also started internship two days ago, but it seemed like I'm not learning anything, so sighs. T.T Okay, maybe I'm too anxious. It was just two days into work. Hmm...

Went on a night adventure to the Night Safari last Saturday with the family. It was my second time there, but I am still very fascinated by it. LOL! It is the Night Safari, hehes. :D

(Let's go!)

(Horrendous queues)

It took me 50 minutes to get onto the tram. There was a child queueing behind me, and she was so hyperactive that she made my blood boiled and I felt like yelling at her many times. I held back in the end, but still x.x I was sweating madly as well, it was very, very hot.

(Check out this group of flamingoes)

(Bambi the deer x10)

(I have no idea what animal this is)

(This is a black bear)

(Nice scenery of the waters)

(I believe these are cattles?)

(My favourite: Lion King)

(I forgot what this animal is)

(I thought that my camera captured this elephant picture nicely)

(Rhino)

Anyone watched The Return of Superman? Hahaha, maybe I should consult Sungjae regarding animals. I think he has a higher IQ level than me. LOL. He is really freaking smart for his age?! He is always 'reciting' the names of different animals. Ahhh, I want to have a kid like him next time (maybe a little less hyperactive because I don't have that much energy to deal with kids LOL).

(Don't this remind you of night walks during camps!)

(Possum)

(Artificial cave)

(After this picture, the wallaby just hopped right in front of me and I got such a big shock that I jumped back LOL)

(My first Night Safari show that is really hilarious)

(The owl who cannot sit still)

(Long and slimy snake which I dislike x.x)

(Cute racoon showing you its butt)

(So smart, it knows how to recycle)

Hehes, I think Night Safari is worth a visit if you guys have not been there before (even though it is really quite expensive). But ohwell, it is good to explore. But beware of the horrendous crowds (and children), they are mainly tourists from all over the place.

P.S. I am hooked onto the Korean drama 'Legend of the Blue Seas' recently. It is really, really good! Much better than Descendants of the Sun lehs, in my opinion. Ahhhh. :DD
