This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.

Consecutively three days of going out is damn tiring LOLOL. :x Energy draining fast zzz.

Meeting my main bitch Vivian last Monday before she heads to Korea for Summer School for a month. Sighs, I also want to go x.x And I realised the entire world is heading to Korea for their summer schools this holidays LOLOL! Why didn't I? >.<

And I finally went Genki Sushi with her! :D My current favourite Japanese restaurant. Hahahahas!

(Salmon frenzy)

(Lobster salad)

(Avocado sushi with teriyaki chicken don)

(Their chawamushi damn nice, smoked duck sushi)

(Mentaiko fries)

(Still find this thing very fascinating)

Hahahahas, I don't know if I like these new technology innovations (ie. using technology to order and serve the food). Does it mean that in the near future I will be talking to robots instead of humans? LOL, anyways was shopping in IMM yesterday and I walked past Popeyes, and geeez they also have machines for ordering (they no longer have counters, at least McDonalds still have them), and they only have a collection area. T.T Bangwall. I prefer talking to people rather than me trying to find the buttons to press on the machines. #lazygirl96

~

Last Tuesday with Huiqi at Bugis, and we had Miam Miam for dinner! :D Hahahas, it was lucky that my workplace is in the vicinity if not I would not agree to travel so far to meet friends. LOL! Yum yum in my tum tum. :D

(Their speciality: Miam Miam Spaghetti)

(Macs and Cheese that taste meh)

Finally shopped for my long belated birthday present. Hehehes! :D So happy! And we met this bitchy salesgirl (y'know those booths kind) who showed us black face and swore at us under her breath just because we rejected her. Tsktsk.

~

'Hawker-hopping' with JJ last Wednesday. It was a failed trip hahahahas. We wanted to head to ABC Brickworks (a hawker in Redhill) but unfortunately they were closed for renovation works sighs. Took a bus down to Redhill Market, but very very unfortunately, they were too closed for maintenance works. Zzz. Travelled all the way to Tiong Bahru Market and luckily there were still a few stalls that are still opened. LOLOL, it was around 8.15pm that time already. T.T

I still managed to get my sugarcane drink, carrot cake, char kway teow and chwee kueh. Okay luh, not too bad. Hahahahas! Walked all the way to Outram Park to catch the MRT home. It was a long walk, but okay luh, time passed very fast whilst we walk and chat. :D

(Macarons)

And he is so nice. He baked and passed me some cookies, macarons and cheesecake cupcakes. Hahahahas! :D

~

A random section here, but I'm really in love with these Japanese treats. Hahahahas! :D Went back to Chateraise to get this fix and they offer more variety this time, but I still prefer their cream puffs LOL!

(Love all these!)

The train ride is freaking slow today. I churned out the entire post and I haven't even reach my workplace. LOLOL ohgawd. And I hate travelling in the Outram Park to Cityhall that area, arghs they always have POOR reception. T.T

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders.

Last Saturday, I decided to go for an events job (fortunately my teacher cancelled my Saturday lessons for that week thankfully hehehes). It was good that I went hahahas, because it was really an eye-opener.

It was tiring but so worth it. That sense of achievement that I felt because I actually take part in facilitating this huge event. :DDD Cheers! And the best part? I got to say hello and shake hands with Mary Buffett ahhhh *internal screams* Hahahahas!

Anyways, prior to the day, I was afraid that everything would turn out to be awkward (I only worked with 3 or 4 people in the entire company before) so I'm really meeting many new faces and the thought of it was daunting. However, hehehes it was great that those people turn out to be nice creatures. :DD It was an awesome day overall because the bosses treat us to a lovely dinner @ Hamanoya Robata.

(Grilled eel that was so freaking expensive but I didn't get a bite of it -.-)

(The situation over at our tables)

(Yakitori)

Didn't manage to take close-up of the food dishes because paiseh. LOL! (: There are many other dishes as well, because the girls went mad and we ordered nearly the entire menu. Hahahas, I was pretty famished that day, so me and Amanda swallowed the entire chicken yuzu soba down. Shit, why are the girls such big eaters compared to the guys. LOL What logic.

(Japan treats)

Last Sunday, I walked past this shop Chateraise in Novena that specialises in Japanese treats and woohoo, I bought these because I cannot resist. It is priced at $1.90 each, so still reasonable. And it was so good that I went back and bought another two. Shit, why do I eat so much. Even Ben was commenting on how much nonsense I eat compared to him. T.T

(KFC for dinner)

Simple Father's Day celebration over at KFC (because we wanted to combine Father's Day and his birthday and eat just one good meal this weekend). The fat life really chose me. T.T

I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly.
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay
Awake when I'm asleep.
'Cause everything is never as it seems.

You can stand under my umbrella.

Just opened my NUS email a few days ago, and to my surprise, I received my PL1101E placement test outcome (I totally forgot about it oops). And yes, I passed it. Hahahahas! :D Finally qualified to declare a major in Psychology, but nahs, high likely I'm sticking with Communications and New Media.

Okay, at least now I 对得起我自己. Thankgawd. Was feeling quite depressed that time when I got back my results and was unable to major in Psychology. LOL, and in case you're wondering, no I don't feel like a walking Psychology encyclopedia (the placement test is assessed based on the entire textbook).

~

Last Wednesday after-work's dinner @ YAYOI with these kids. Hahahas, cravings for Japanese food satisfied. :D Btw, I'm glad things didn't turn out to be awkward LOL!

(Amanda and I ordered first because L is taking too long sighs)

Read some reviews and they say the Nanban chicken is delicious, so here I go! Hahahahas! :D I wouldn't say it is very worth it, but the chicken is quite tender and they use egg mayonnaise instead of mere mayonnaise. And I upgrade my soup to the one with clams, but I don't find it fantastic also. My set amounts to S$20, sighs. Once-in-awhile indulge I guess is fine. LOL! :D

(Swinging our way through)

Chanced upon this intriguing place I never knew existed. LOL, and it was quite a quiet place to chillax because it is located at some secluded area whereby there are not many people walking past. Hehehes, btw I finally stepped foot into the Orchard Library. I had always wanted to go in and see how atas it is :P And it really is like what the pictures show.

(At the tube)

After numerous attempts of asking passers-by to help us take pictures, the one taken with the self-timer is still the best. Hahahas, thanks for the great night guys! :D

Everything you ever wanted is at the other side of fears.

Reasons why I didn't apply for any internship this summer break

(Ripped from Tumblr)

A million-dollar question that nobody fails to ask me.

Well, first and foremost, I am money-motivated, and most internships are paid quite low (I understand that the main motive is to learn new things and gain experience). However, I need to earn enough to feed me for the next semester first ah. I like to be financially independent, and I do not like asking for allowance from my parents. Expenses for university are on the high side as well. Besides needing money to pay for my daily activities, such as meals, transport and daily necessities, money have to be put aside for textbooks and entertainment too. Sighs. #firstworldproblems

Secondly, I had only taken the 3 most basic modules from my major, and I feel that such insufficient knowledge cannot maximise my learning. Besides, there are so many different sectors in the Communications and New Media field, such as advertising and public relations. I have no inkling of what I want to try out yet. LOL. I haven't even take their introduction modules. T.T

That's just my opinions. To be honest, I really see no point in staying on for my current job (because it is simply physically demanding and I learn nothing except organisational skills perhaps), and would had quitted if not for the nice colleagues. Besides, I'm hanging on because the contract is only for a month. :/

The real voyage of discovering
Consists not in seeking new landscapes
But in having new eyes.

Feelings are just visitors, let them come and go.

This week has been pretty tiring as well. T.T Sighs, money is really my main motivator to carry on. #whyamisopractical #whamisomoneyminded

I went for my psychology placement test on Monday without studying much. I guess the passion  within me for psychology has really died down tremendously, and through this entire episode I really learnt how much I hated biology. Hahahas, I am determined to major in Communications and New Media. Even though I know it isn't going to be easy, considering I'm a little introvert LOL, but yeahs I'm going to try it out and pray for it to work. :D Many of my colleagues were shocked when I told them that I wanted to do psychology initially, and one of them (who is a NUS psychology graduate herself) told me that she ventured into HR from scratch. (Oops, that was my initial plan, to go into HR after obtaining a psychology degree). Hahahas, thanks for the encouragement peeps.

Decided to squeeze my schedule a little, so after the psychology placement test, I went for my 10th (last) session for SGH, wew! Finally everything is done ahhhh! Hahahahas! :D And I finished typing my observations in 4 train rides (I love such productive train rides) LOL. Hahahahas! :DD

~

The other day at Ssikkek Korean Grill BBQ dinner buffet with the family. Took very little pictures that day because I was too busy using my hands to eat the chicken wings. LOLOL! :D The food is really good, compared to other Korean BBQ buffets like Oppa Korean BBQ. LOL, okay luh this one much more expensive also x.x

(First round)

(My all-time favourite)

But this one really expensive ah. It's okay to indulge in awhile, but sighs, ever since I started working again, I realised my meagre pay is not going to be enough to pay for my expenses before school starts. T.T Siao liao.

~

And throwback to Goru Goru Korean steamboat with my main bitch, Vivian. :D Thanks for the introduction, this is my first Korean steamboat, but I guess I prefer the Japanese hotpot. Hahahahas!

(Meat, meat, meat!)

(Why does it look so unappetising LOL)

(Fried food and maggie)

(Random stuff here and there)

(More meat)

(Topokki with glass noodles)

I realised we forgot to take a picture together. Sighs. Hahahahas, it is always a good day with her because she is simply full of bullshit, and it really makes my day. :D I hope she don't stalk me and see this. Hahahahas!

We were like astronauts,

telescoping the stars,

and searching for the
moments that took our breath away.

When she walks, her footsteps sing a reckless serenade.

Good day, everybody! :D

(Ripped from Google Images)

Met JJ last week for the X-men movie and it was really goodstuff?! Hahahahas, but then I prefer Civil War because there are more action scenes and their powers seem cool. The X-men cast all have useless powers LOL. However, the plot of X-men is more understandable (I don't get the plot of Civil War LOL) because they 'restarted' the entire storyline, so there is quite a bit of introduction at the front which enables me to understand better. It helps that JJ is some kind of X-men expert so I can question him LOLOL! :D

(Bak kut teh)

We had this for dinner! Really goodstuff again hehehes. This shop recently opened in Lot 1, and I haven't had the chance to try it earlier. Hahahahas. Their soya drink is also fantastic. And I have a filling dinner. :D We had a heart-to-heart talk over Blackball and it really feels great because he's really one of the very few university pals I made whom I can really open my heart and talk to. (In university, it is a dog-eat-dog world, and the many friendships formed are just pretentious because ultimately we are all competing together. The truth hurts.) Sighpie.

P.S. He got me a souvenir from his Cambodia trip. I finally have my own elephant pants hahahahas! :D

~

Went Jurong Point the other day with my family and my parents are in a good mood so they decided to treat me to a cup of McCafe drink. Hehehes. My daddy had the Long Black, my mama ordered Cappuccino that comes with very pretty flowers latte art and as usual, I went for my favourite double chocolate frappe. :DD

(Iz not bad)

Hahahas! Went grocery shopping at the NTUC warehouse after that and it is still one of my favourite place on Earth because they sell 'upsized' things and everytime I go, it is still an eyeopener. Hahahahas! (:

Sometimes you wish it was easier.
But if it was, then everyone else would do it.
Then you remember you don't want to be
like everyone else.

I feel like we are as close as strangers.

Lack of updates because I am really, really exhausted. Things ain't helping when your period is in too. Sighs. #firstworldproblems

(Ripped from Tumblr)

This Monday I went for my 9th SGH session in the morning (woots, second last!), followed by my events job briefing in the evening. We and Manda arrived wayyy too early (first to reach again), and sighs we realised they arranged 1.5h worth of dinner. Alamak. Where got people eat so slow one LOLOL. But ohwell, bonding session maybe? I was crying of boredom, but thankfully I got to make friends with few sweethearts. Like talk a little, at least I talked rights! LOL. It feels a little like networking to me, and networking is very tiring. T.T

Btw, did I mention that my bosses are real sweet because they treated us pizza for dinner? Hahahas! Me and Manda were so bored that we started playing 'Jenga' in the pizza version. LOL. Lameshit we are.

(Ripped from Tumblr)

Tuesday, I started my first day at my full-time job. And it was good to have friendly colleagues. But I only managed to talk to my direct 'boss' and this cute little colleague (hahas, she used to be the youngest until I came in :P Sorry not sorry). Sighpie, my job is so boring because it was just filing. But I guess fulfilling because I realised I can study the documents a little? Hahahahas, but ahh boring. They are all words. But then again, it is a department that I am quite interested in. Hehehes. Besides, I realised many of the seniors there started as a temporary staff for filing as well? LOLOL! Amazing discovery.

(Ripped from Tumblr)

Wednesday, cycle repeated, but I managed to make new friends, like err talk to more people (I mean, it is quite hard to talk to people when you are just in-charge of filing LOL). The colleagues are really, really friendly. Hahas, but the angmohs at the other side of the department is a little intimidating sighs.

(Ripped from Tumblr)

Thursday, it was a really hilarious day. Asked a few stupid questions, like how to adjust the chair and how to refill my water bottle because it cannot fit inside the water dispenser, and one of my colleague, Benedict, totally wtf me. LOL, but he is a joker because I complained that there is no instructions and he really went to write a page of it for me. HAHAHAHAS. Yiai is also damn sweet, she takes real care of me although she is just a few years older. Vanessa is not bad because she shared with me plenty of life stories and I really gained some insights. Hmmmm.

Headed to my very first events job in the evening, and glad to see a familiar face, Jiaqi. I was so worried to be working with people whom I don't really know because I'm kinda an awkward person. Thankfully, Darius is also easy-going and the both of them really guide me alot. Hahahahas, learnt many new things but my biggest achievement in life is learning how to be a cashier (aka how to operate those intimidating machines). Hehehes, I hope I still remember whatever I was taught. Oops!

But sighs, I don't like calling ah. I haven't try it yet, but next session confirm need already. x.x

(Ripped from Tumblr)

Friday, it was a slacker day because work ends much earlier and I had this 1h long meeting with the CEO, who is addressing the entire company about the company's updates. I went initially because I was curious about what will it be like. And wah, it was freaking tiring because he was just droning on and on and there are no seats. I'm like going to doze off standing anytime soon, and so I faster grabbed onto a table to find a support. Omg. I suck.

~

(Ripped from Tumblr)

Just want to lie in bed all day err day.

This week is torturous because everything just start coming in, and I am suffering from headaches and all, and surviving on my vitamins all day err day. #weakconstitution But ohwell, I'm glad to be working again because I am money-motivated, but I still prefer working in the outskirts area, like Jurong, because the food there are a lot cheaper than in town. Benedict kept laughing at me because the money I spend on lunch is equivalent to the money I earn in an hour. Zzz. And the travelling to town area is really hateful sighs.

And I used to be youngest for whatever jobs I took up last time, but this time for my events job, I realised there are plenty of same-age friends, and even more who are younger than me. Hmm, culture shock? Because next time no older colleagues to take care of me / look out for me anymore LOL. Sighs, and this sucks.

Oh, it's just me, myself and I.
Solo ride until I die.
Cause I got me for life.
Oh, I don't need a hand to hold,
Even when the night is cold.
I got that fire in my soul.

Buildings with a hundred floors, spinning round revolving doors.

Headed to Fish & Co. for lunch with the sister before meeting Amanda for SGH event. Sighs, sometimes I wish I was given reimbursement for the amount of the time I put in for the event. Yes, it was voluntary, but I rather volunteer my time to help those in need, rather than just sticking around and observing people. Okay, I know I shouldn't complain because I guess I gained a lot of insights from the events, but still, I cannot help but feel tortured everytime I head down to SGH. Sighs. Hours and hours of standing is really no joke. But looking at the bright side of life, I left 2 more sessions. Whoopee! :D Cannot wait omg!

(I love student meals!)

(Chicken)

(New York Fish and Chips)

I understand Fish & Co. specialises in fish & chips, but I kind of hate it, and I don't regret ordering my chicken dish. Hahahas, chicken is forever nicer than fish LOL. #biased But my cheesy mash potato is surprisingly awesome for a non-potato-eater like myself. :D Btw, some life tips to share: never ever go out with your younger siblings without your parents, because the one footing the bill 99.9% is you. T.T

----

Brought Amanda to Saizeriya for cheap cheap Western food ever since Heidi brought me and Dewei there once and I like it. Hahahas, they serve free flow of drinks, a bowl of salad and a main dish for around $7.90/$8.90, and there is no GST. #cheapthrills

(Their salad is great!)

(My Tuna Mentaiko Spaghetti and some broccoli spaghetti dish Manda ordered)

The restaurant is really, really crowded. Thankgawd we got a table soon because the rest waiting in the queue are either in threes or fours. The portion of the food is huge, hahahas. I had a hard time finishing it x.x

(Dessert @ Llaollao)

Cannot get over Llaollao. It is still my favourite among all the froyo stores. Hehehes! :DD Finally got the medium cup instead of our usual Sanum cup, because I realised that medium cup have more froyo whilst Sanum cups have more toppings. It took us long enough to realise, zzz. I like Llaollao because of their froyo not their toppings. :3

Let's skip the part,
Where we stop skipping parts
And let the moments take over.

Fields of love.

Long overdued post but featuring some of my favourite loves. This was my first time at Chomp Chomp even though my school was located in the vicinity for a good whole 4 years and I haven't had the chance to try it yet. Oops. #isuck

(Sugar cane)

The sugar cane aunties convinced us to get this cute sugar-cane 'machine' to share among the 5 of us. We were told that this $10 thing is called the Newcomers' Award 新人奖which led me to confusion and I wondered hard to myself 'what is the auntie talking about?! What newcomer's award? Huh?!' But we just ordered because this thing looks cool. Hahahahas! Then after the entire meal, I realised, they actually have a bigger machine that they call All-Time Favourite Artiste Award 超级红星. Hahahahas aunties, why you all so cute! I give you all the most innovative award. :DD

(Satay)

Who can resist satay?! Ahhh one of my favourite food in the world even though it is so heaty and all. Hahahahas! :DD So much loves for this.

(Plates of goodness)

Highlights of the day: we have sambal stingray, sambal sotong, cuttlefish with kangkong and sambal lala (not in picture because uncle apparently forgot to serve us initially) T.T I feel that the food is just meh, or maybe I harbored too high expectations LOL. However, the sambal is really spicy enough, :3 My lips are totally burning throughout the entire meal. The customer service is fine except that they forgot to serve us the last dish (luckily we remembered, because we already paid for it). I guess I would patronise other stalls the next time I'm there, because there are many stalls selling the same food. I still prefer the sambal stingray from East Coast Park! It is the best that I have ever eaten. :D

(Udders for supper)

Do we still look like kids? Because they want to check our IC when we wanted to order the alcoholic flavours. Hahahahas, I take that as a compliment. :D I like their ice-cream!

(With all my monkeys)

T'was a good day out because it has been long since I had so much laughters. Thanks for everything babes :D Old friends are still the best.

You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies lit up the world
As I fell asleep
'Cause they'd fill the open air
And leave tear drops everywhere
