Big mistake, broke the sweetest promise that you never should have made.

Back to our cafe-hopping mission.

(Ramen Risotto)

(Close-up of the Ramen Risotto)

Visited Paddy Hills with Vivian Phang for brunch after our NM4102 classes! (: I read some blog reviews on this particular cafe, and most of the reviews pointed me to this Ramen Risotto dish! It consists of Kurobuta Cha Shu and raw quail's egg yolk. Priced at $25, it is quite flavourful with a creamy texture. However, it might get too much (jelat) at some point.

(黑 MAMI rice)

Vivian got the 黑 MAMI rice, which is also another one of their specialty. It comprises squid ink rice, flap meat and onsen egg. I tried a mouthful and thought it tasted not bad, but Vivian couldn't finish it hahaha!

Overall rating: 8/10

Love the ambience, it was quite a great place to chill and do your work, or chit chat with your friends. We went around 12pm, and the entire place was quite empty, quiet and most importantly, peaceful :D

What a waste
Taking down the pictures and the plans we made,
And it's strange how your dace doesn't look so innocent
Your secret has its consequence and that's on you, babe.

A little sunshine and a sea of goodness, to wash away all the tears of sadness.

(What's Wrong with Secretary Kim)

It has been a long time since I am addicted to Korean dramas, but this show 'What's wrong with secretary Kim?' is really damn nice to watch!? I finished the entire series within a week LOL!!

It's about the love story of a narcisstic vice-president of a large corporation and his secretary who threatened to resign after working alongside him for nine years. The story plot was quite interesting because there were many twists and turns, and it's more of a romantic comedy which really attracted me a lot.

Despite being narcisstic, the vice-president is actually very considerate towards his secretary, so the inner girl in me just kept squealing in joy throughout the series. This is also the drama that got me crying buckets of tears omg, I am just very emotional T.T

Worth watching! Hahahaha but I should stop watching dramas since school has already started and I need to start doing work instead of spending all my time chasing after episodes LOL. It was a great break though :D

(Guzman Y Gomez)

Mexican food with Bernice and Cassandra at Guzman Y Gomez, Star Vista branch. I ordered the set meal tacos which comes with chips and drink for less than $10! I thought it was quite worth it because the food is delicious too!

(Tsum Tsum Cereal Bars and Mentos)

Relieved my childhood by heading to the Cow Play Cow Moo arcade located at Suntec City. Spent around $20-$30 there (wth I seriously need to control), and got enough tickets to exchange for this bag of Tsum Tsum cereal bars and a packet of mentos. LOL, no idea why arcades are back in trend but it just feels good to be back. If only the games are cheaper...

(Twelve Cupcakes)

Office people love buying cupcakes for celebrations instead of getting a cake itself because true enough, it is easier to distribute LOL. That also explains why throughout my 15 weeks of internship, I ate cupcakes on five separate occasions omg. I am sick of cupcakes already T.T I am more of a cake person LOLOL!

(Durians)

One last time eating durians this season because I decided that it is way too heaty for me LOL. Daddy bought it from Malaysia and it was real tasty!

The world’s a stage, and all of us are merely players.

#BugisEATS

I'm blessed to work in Bugis where there are many nice food around, and even more incredibly grateful when my friends came down especially to find me for lunch/dinner!!

(Durian Snow Ice from 记得吃)

Met Amanda a couple of times for lunch during work - Mos Burger at Raffles City, Hokkien Mee at Newton Food Centre - but they are all inconvenient places because we spent most of the lunch break travelling instead of chilling and eating. LOL. After she ended her internship, I decided to seize the opportunity and asked her down to Bugis to find me instead. LOL!

But guess which idiot got lost in Bugis Junction? LOL, in the end I have to walk all the way to the mall to fetch her T.T Brought her to eat the nice Yong Tau Foo in Bugis Cube, and she agreed that it is nice! I love the meatball especially, :D

We went for desserts afterwards. I wanted to try a new dessert place, instead of the usual Ah Chew Desserts. The eatery 记得吃 is also located along Liang Seah Street, opposite from Ah Chew Desserts. We ordered the Durian Snow Ice, which is the perfect dessert given the hot and sweltering weather. It looks mediocre, but the durian taste is quite strong. I think it's not bad!

(Tom Yummy Spaghetti)

(Truffle Aglio Olio Spaghetti)

On a separate occasion, I met Hui Qi for dinner, and she recommended this vegan place called Saute that serves amazing food. It is located at Bugis Cube! I ordered the tom yum spaghetti, that comes with tofu, straw mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Hui Qi ordered the truffle Aglio Olio. The spaghetti was cooked in truffle-infused olive oil which is so fragrant! They are also generous with their mushrooms and soy bacon.

Actually, I do think that most vegan food taste not bad. They are on the pricier side, but at least it makes me feel somewhat healthier. LOL!

(Ah Chew Desserts)

And we were back to Hui Qi's favourite dessert place, Ah Chew desserts. It was quite crowded at night, but the queue was fast-moving thankfully. I think we spent only 20-30 minutes queueing. We got the durian paste which taste heavenly and the yam paste which is way toooo sweet for my liking.

(Iced Lychee and Melon; Yuzu Mango)

(Mentaiko Prawn Ball Baked Rice)

(Scallop and Baby Crayfish Baked Rice)

Someone is feeling rich that day and decided to treat me to The Connoisseur Concerto (TCC) for dinner hahaha! Thanks Clement for the super belated birthday gift that only came four months later. Haven't been to TCC because it is so expensive, but their dining options are quite exotic yet interesting! We went to the Bugis Junction branch, and I swear the waitress looked so scary and intimidating.. LOL.

My mind resembles a calm lake, rippled by stray winds, shadowed by flowing clouds.

Happy weekend, everyone! It was a great week because this was the first time that I can be so chill at work LOL. There was the National Day holiday, and half the time I left work early because I want to clear all my accumulated time-off hours. :D The funny thing is that I only left work at 7pm on my last day, hmm...

And... I’m proud to say that I have officially ‘graduated’ from my internship, and it was a bittersweet feeling. I shall write a separate post on this, hahaha!

National Day

Not lucky enough to win tickets to see the National Day Parade, and not patriotic enough to head down to squeeze with everybody else just to see the fireworks. I just slept in (it was a super good rest) and then head out for dinner. LOL.

Headed down to Pabingsoo Korean Dining House for dinner and yums, we got their signature Rolling Cheese Chicken Wings. It looks damn good on the menu but looks can be deceiving. The portion was small and it just taste mediocre 😅 The fries are soggy some more.

(Bibimbap that was just the size of my hand)

(Rolling Cheese Chicken Wings)

(See how they roll the cheese)

(It really looks good until you taste it)

(End product)

(Sweet Potato Latte)

This is my favourite Korean drink and I finally found it here hahahaha (: A little expensive for the small cup but it taste decent. I love sweet potato latte! Honestly, I felt that the food here really wasn’t nice, and it wasn’t that cheap either, and their service wasn’t at all impressive. T.T Zzz.

Subway on Saturdays

(Subway bread)

(Coffee)

This morning we went Subway for breakfast because the coupons are expiring and I don’t them to go to waste LOL! The pictures don’t look appetising but it is actually okay. A good alternative if you are sick of McDonalds’ breakfast (:

(The Cheesecake Factory)

No idea why the family love frozen cakes but personally I prefer cakes that are sold in bakeries. Anyways, life sucks because school starts next week and I wasn't prepared sighs.

I've never heard silence quite this loud.

Internship Week 14

(Last Day of Internship)

It is my turn now to leave this wonderful organisation. Thanks National Library Board (NLB) for everything - my bosses and colleagues, my fellow interns, the guidance they provided me and the opportunities for me to grow.

From left to right:
Chim, Gwyneth, Elyssa, Anna, Cheryl, Ain, Jasna and Sabritri. Missing Taufiq and my designer! 🖤

(Last Lunch)

Last day of lunch with my lovely intern friends! Thanks Shaoyuan, Colin and Haziqah. Colin finally made the right order this time. Background story: he can't take spicy but he ordered spicy sauce the previous time. LOL, he was craving so badly for Eighteen Chefs but he couldn't eat a single bite! HAHAHAHA.

(Farewell Gifts from Colleagues)

Love the gifts that they gave me! (: Thank you all, I will use them wisely! My team also treated me to expensive three-course lunch by the way. Words alone can't express my gratitude to them.

(Farewell Gifts)

Tada! Revealing the farewell gifts that I have prepared for my team - hand drawn with love. P.S. I am quite proud of my artwork.

I ain't good with words, but I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for all your kind gestures. Than you for your guidance all these while, I really learned and grew a lot. The entire internship journey was tough yet an enjoyable experience. I would really miss y'all!

The battle is in your hands now.
But I would lay my armor down.
If you'd say you'd rather love than fight,
So many things that you wish I knew
But the story of us might be ending soon.

She is the type of girl that the moon chased and the stars wished for.

Internship Week 13

(NLB Camaraderie)

Work these days really make me appreciate colleagues better, LOL. Fatiha had some business to clear in the headquarters today hahaha, so I introduced her to my other intern friends (we were stationed in the headquarters except Fatiha). Had a great lunch today, and I'm happy that everyone can click so well together! (: You guys really make my day! Appreciate it.

(Ah Chew desserts)

Back to our daily grind - Ah Chew desserts - with Colin and Shaoyuan. I swear all our hard-earned money all went to eating desserts, specifically at Ah Chew. T.T All Shaoyuan's fault for the jio, because he knows that I can't resist desserts!

(Wok Hey Takeaway)

One of the rare times where we takeaway food back to office to eat, because we just wanted to avoid the crowd. Thought that the packaging for the Wok Hey was cool, but I didn't quite like the food because I find it too oily (and expensive). But apparently, Colin buys it often. LOL.

(Ah Chew Desserts)

Another day, another bowl of dessert. I guess we really need to stop eating, I need to watch my weight already?! This is the second time we were back at this place this week omg. T.T

(Jason's last day)

Time flies! It was Jason's last day for his internship already. Ded, we only knew of each other's existence last week during the intern presentation LOL. Better late than never, at least we made friends for a week now. Hahaha! (: And it's also soon going to be Caeryn's last day. Gonna miss the both of you, and all the best for your future endeavours!

You're the one that never lets me sleep
Through my mind, down to my soul,
you touch my lips.
You're the one that I can't wait to see
With you here by my side, I'm in ecstasy.
