Sleep under the stars.

(Ripped from favim.com)

"I do not want to have you
to fill the empty parts of me
I want to be full on my own.

I want to be so complete
I could light up a whole city
and then
I want to have you cause
the two of us combined
could set it on fire."

Sometimes it's easier just to pretend you don't have emotions at all.

Thoughts on Y2S1

It has finally come to an end, and here are some takeaways:

(Ripped from freshwallpapers.net)

1) Friendships forged

Humans are social creatures, so I guess I still view this as the most important aspect of my university life. This is a semester whereby I only see my best friend once a week for lessons, so it is quite sad. And we cannot have dinner after lessons as well, because she still has lessons. Hmm.

I'm glad to meet Chermin and Yurong for NM3232, even though I hate the module LOL. Thanks for being my module mates, hehehes at least I don't have to walk into a class and look lost trying to find a corner seat and hide.

Thankful for Jiazi and Vivian P. as well for my NM3219 class. Jiazi offered me a lot of life (?) advices and shared with me many of her experiences, and she is really very nice and all. I am also glad to reconnect with my secondary school mate Vivian, hehehes.

Not forgetting my GET1002 groupmates as well. They are quite a nice bunch, and even though I know we wouldn't meet again, but I am still thankful to have known y'all through this module. You guys have been efficient groupmates, I like. And thanks for bringing laughters towards the end. Cheers to Brenda, Kelly, Jimmy and Eunice.

Special thanks to Dewei because he really advised me alot and helped me to plan my modules when I was feeling like a lost sheep after my exchange application fell through. It is really good to know seniors because they have been through so much shit, so they know what to do. Really glad for this friendship even though we didn't take any modules together this semester.

Special mention to Clement as well. Hehehes, didn't work a lot for events because of school commitments but glad to make a good friend out of it.

Also, thanks to everyone else who stayed by, such as Amanda, Huiqi, Vivian, Longyuan, Ben and JJ and everyone else. Sorry for the late replies everytime, because I was living in a cave suffocated from schoolwork.

2) Gaining independence

It was three modules alone this semester. I remember at the start, I was choosing modules with uncertainty because I don't want to head to lessons alone. I just hate to be alone LOL.

But I guess circumstances force me to learn to be more independent. I was actually taking two modules with another friend, who apparently went missing in action throughout the entire semester, so it was just me alone. Again. LOL.

I used to secretly hate my friend for 'abandoning' me for lessons, however now, as time passed, I learnt that everyone have their own learning styles, so I guess that it was not right for me to demand and expect them to go your way.

And by now, I'm totally okay with attending lectures or tutorials alone.

And this actually freed up a lot of time because I do things at my own pace, and I plan my own timetable without needing to take into account friends' timetable. :D

3) Met nice professor along the way

I really, really like Ms Tan Ee Lyn although she can be pretty harsh at times. New found respect for her, because despite teaching many modules, she is still on task and ever so efficient. Her turnaround rate for replying to my emails is like within 2h!?! And my emails are not the typical admin questions, but more of asking her to check through my class work.

I scored pretty well for the two modules that I took under her. Hehehes, thanks for putting so much effort and taking time to answer all my queries and correcting my work. :DD

It is sad as I don't think I will ever take lessons under her anymore because she teaches mainly writing modules, but no matter how good the teacher is, I think I have enough of writing already. T.T Hahahaha!

Do not question her fire,
she could startle the monsters
that stop your heart.

And in the end, we both went mad in wonderland.

Tactless words said without giving any thought to it might hurt someone in the process.

(Ripped from Tumblr)

Results were released one day ago, and I was satisfied because I guessed I have done better than what I expected, although I have this stupid disgusting grade that I cannot s/u (my poorest grades are forever modules that I cannot s/u wth).

Sighs.

Okay nevermind, watch me. I will come back stronger (highly doubting myself, but ohwell).

On a happier note, four more days to Christmas and I cannot wait to dig into my logcake. I have been having cravings since like forever omg. I ordered a yuzu flavoured one, and boy, I am excited! :D

My mind forgets to remind me.
You're a bad idea.

Only in the darkness, can you see the stars.

(Ripped from ohmyspace.com)

You know your life is pretty screwed, when the results of the exchange program application just further affirmed your intelligence level.

T.T Couldn't help but feel sour over it. Spent so much time researching and feeling excited for it, but it all went up to nothing. LOL sighs. Life is so competitive over here. Ohwell, life is never smooth-sailing. Time to look for other opportunities.

Summer school, anyone?

Sunday

(Limbang Food Court)

Western food for lunch after a game of table tennis with the family last Sunday. I was feeling like a sloth, I have no idea why they are suddenly so enthusiatic to be doing sports. LOL, I was so so tired at the end of the day. I'm old.

Anyways, that plate of Western goodness tasted quite good, and the chicken chop was very tender and juicy served with a soft garlic bread, I really like it. However, their service was super slow until cannot, my parents finish their food, but my food wasn't served yet. T.T

Went strolling in IMM after that to escape from the heat, and I came across this interesting Christmas cake from Dome:

(Igloo Cake)

Damn interesting concept! And I really like the fact that the cake is lychee flavoured! Ever since I tried Prima Deli's Christmas lychee cake two years ago, I have fallen in love with it and until now, the taste is still inched in my memory. LOLOL. So exaggerated, but yeahs, I really like lychee cakes. Hahahaha! And the thing is, Prima Deli stopped selling it because they change their cakes every year, geeez. I am really tempted to write in to them and ask them to bring back lychee cake next year. Should I?

(Found my bestie)

Giant really sell interesting things like these plush toys here at affordable prices! This huge ass Hello Kitty cost $29.90, and they also have giantic teddy bears priced around that range too! But yeahs, plush toys are impractical and being so big-sized, they do nothing but occupy space only. So nope!

I have been shopping for bags for the longest time now. And I saw two bags that I like very much, one from Charles and Keith & the other from Pedro. They are on sales, but sighs, I am broke so I should stop spending money unnecessary LOL!

Monday

It was a busy day running around. LOLOL, woke up late, lazed around at the sofa before gathering all my energy to change out and head down to collect my ezbuy parcel. It took one month, my gosh. Ohwell, quite satisfied with most of the buys, so yay!

Then the sister dragged me to play badminton at the outdoor court below my house. LOL, walao my badminton skills really cannot make it. Hahahaha!

After which, I bathed and headed out to meet JJ for dinner at Chongpang Hawker. Hehehes, back to carrot cake and char kway teow. Even more excited because their soya bean milk store was opened, and I finally got to drink my soya bean milk with glass jelly. Omg I super miss that!

Wednesday

Oh I'm such a boring person LOL, back to Japanese cuisine at Nihon Mura because Vivian was craving for hot green tea. Don't ever patronise the Cathay Cineleisure Orchard branch, their services suck like shit.

(Salmon Sashimi)

(Chawamushi)

Even their lighting sucks. LOL! Their food is mediocre, and the only thing that I like about the restaurant is their matcha ice cream. LOL, and that's ready-made, it is not even prepared by them.

Went to a few shops because sales, but nothing caught my eye. I saw a very beautiful bag and wanted to twin with Vivian, but they only have display sets. So nope!

(Eighteen Chefs Signature)

A more expensive extension of Eighteen Chefs, their student meals cost a dollar more than the usual price. It feels very atas to step in, but the waiters/waitresses there are very blur. LOL, but okay they very funny.

Served us to our seat but forgot about the menu. Took order for our food, but gave no response even though I kept repeating, then afterwards asked me what I ordered again. Served us food without utensils. After the utensils came, another waiter walked over to give us utensils again. We have two extra sets of utensils in the end. LOL, okay. They are young kids, quite cute. Hahahaha!

(Christmas lights)

Strolled down Somerset to see these pretty Christmas lights, and whee I really like these. (: It feels magical.

Airports see more sincere kisses than wedding halls.
The walls of hospitals have heard more prayers than the walls of churches.

Saturday, December 10, 2016

It's our paradise and it's our war zone.

Busy, busy days ahead. I like the feeling of being busy, because it gives me the false thinking that my life is indeed very productive and meaningful. LOL!

Wednesday:

(Seafood Zuppa)

Featuring my favourite dish 'Seafood Zuppa' from Pasta Mania. They are very generous with their servings of prawns and squids, yeshhh. So HuiQi found a 25% discount voucher (again) for Pasta Mania, so here we go! Hahahas, really glad for HuiQi because she is the discount queen, so these days we tend to go around hunting for cheaper and discounted food. LOL! I'm excited to be saving money!

(Starbucks' Toffee Nut Latte)

Since Starbucks is having a promotion of one-for-one, so we decided to grab a cup each. I really like their Toffee Nut Latte recently, it is a Christmas special drink. Drinking such drinks make me feel that Christmas is really coming! :D All was great except for the fact that they totally changed my name from Angie to N-G?! The customer who was behind me was laughing non-stop, I cannot. I was so embarrassed. T.T

Anyways, we smuggled these drinks into Teoheng KTV. It has been long since I exercised my vocal chords, so great to be finally belting out hit songs over the microphone again! We have some time on our hands, so we decided to catch this movie 'Fantastic Beasts'. Talk about saving money, LOL. But this movie is really not bad! It is much nicer than 'Lulu the Movie', sorry.

(The male lead is so cute geez!)

The beasts were all damn cute! It is worthwhile to watch this, go watch guys!

(My bestie of 8 years)

Munching on Mos Burger, and I was having my unglam moments again because the vegetables from my burger were dropping all over the table. Okay, partially it was because I refused to eat the vegetables and onions, so I chose to pick them all out, so everywhere was a mess. Oops.

I should have just ordered the fish burger instead of the chicken burger. T.T

Thursday:

Finally a half-day at home, and I went back to planning my itinerary for South Korea. Finally tied down the areas of attractions for Busan, and I am currently halfway through Seoul. Three more weeks before we are due to fly, I really cannot wait! :D

Met Amanda for a meesua dinner (that left me feeling very hungry on my way home) first, before heading to our events job. Although we were rusty from the 3-month hiatus, we made no mistakes and I'm thankful that everything went well in the end. I was initially quite worried because I really am quite noobish in the work (hiatus + I didn't work a lot to begin with!). However, I guess there were no other chances in the near future to work together again, because sighs, they said we were too messy processing payments, so....

Sighs. I am dejected.

Sometimes you make me feel like
I'm living at the edge of the world.
"It's just the way I smile", you said.

Work hard in silence. Let success be your noise.

Life's after finals is really good. It has been two weeks ever since my last exam, and I have been out practically everyday. Exhausted, but in a good way I guess :D

Sunday:

(Ripped from animatedimages.org)

It was an impromptu family sports day, LOL! Played table tennis with the family because that was the only sports which I don't have to make advance booking for (since it is not a popular sports). Just a reminder guys, the activesg's free $100 is expiring soon, and in order to extend it, one has to make at least one booking to re-activate it again. So do remember to activate it in order to continue enjoying the benefits! :D

Thanks fam bam for making table tennis sessions always so enjoyable. I think our skills are so noobish that the balls kept flying everywhere and it was quite embarrassing, but ohwell, having fun is the more important than being afraid of getting judged, rights!

(Ripped from buzzfeed.com)

Because you exercised, so you gave yourself the excuse of having the liberty to enjoy some nice desserts:

(New York Cheesecake)

Priced at $3.50, coupled with free parking, my current favourite eating place is the Gain City Megastore @ Sungei Kadut. Delicious food at affordable prices, and best of all there were no queues because the place is quite inaccessible without a car. :D

Monday:

Hot Tomato for lunch with Amanda before we went shopping at Plaza Sing. It feels good to go out with her again. It has been so long?! The only place we meet for the last 4 months has been school, school, and still school. We sure are boring people LOL.

(Seafood Marinara)

After which, we went to the events company for a Pizzahut dinner before the meeting. Finally back after a long 3-month hiatus. They moved to a new place recently, and I think I am the last person to step into the new office? LOL. Oops!

Some things happened, and I am in no position to say anything, but I feel that A is not to be blamed for the matter. If you want something, you have to open your mouth and say it, and not assume that people know what you want and then blame them when you don't get what you want. >.<

Anyways, I always feel very stressed whenever I step foot into the company. I didn't even feel so much stress even when I have to give presentations or attend interviews?! T.T

Tuesday:

Headed out with my sister to catch 'Lulu the Movie', a movie that was filmed, directed and acted by our homegrown star Michelle Chong. I was initially quite excited about it, after watching the trailers and all the youtube promotional videos. However, Amanda watched it before me and warned me against it, but err I decided to ignore her advice and went ahead to watch...

(Ripped from Left Profile)

I wasted my $7. LOL, there was no plot?! What happened to the girlfriend Sonia? What happened to the twin brother? There were many loopholes, and the story weren't complete. I was just confused the whole while. Though I won't deny the multiple hilarious parts of the movie, however most of them appeared in the trailer already so it wasn't as funny. There were many redundant parts as well, such as the street interviews, it seemed as though they were only used to fill up the screen time. I don't see the point of it.

Sighs. I regretted not heeding your advice, Amanda. LOLOL!

But darling, in the end,
you've got to be your own hero,
because everyone's busy trying
to save themselves.

We accept the love we think we deserve.

(Ripped from photovibe.com)

Lack of updates because I have been quite busy these days. Hmm, busy hanging out with friends and planning my Korea itinerary which is a pain in the ass, but ohwell, no pain no gain. I'm looking forward to celebrating New Year in Korea! :D

Just returned from my Cambodia trip a few days ago, :D I really enjoyed myself a lot and it really changed my perceptions of a less developed country. I will post more updates on this after I'm done sorting out the pictures and all!

But I think with my current level of procrastination, it might take some time though, oops. LOL, but ohwell I'm halfway through it already because a few days back, Singtel wifi decided to bail on me. I can only sort out my phone camera gallery without internet access. Hahaha!

~

Anyways, throwback to two weeks ago when I was still having my finals. Hahahas, made cinnamon pancakes with the sister because studying all day will make me a dull girl.

(Self-proclaimed delicious pancakes)

But yay, my finals ended much earlier than most people and we celebrated the end of it with a hearty meal over at Dancing Crab! Check out my first haphazardly done vlog below! I was getting interested in vlogging these days, and hence I decided to do a simple one to test the video application and my vlog making skills, so here it goes. Do watch it and show some support yeahs!

(Post-Final Celebrations)

So I headed over to Vivo City with the sister first to camp at Caffe Bene to wait for my mum and uncle to end work before dinner (and because I have 10% discount voucher for it, auntieyanqi is back).

(Misugaru)

However, I will not return to that place again for its overpriced and not-nice Bingsu, although I have to admit that their Misugaru drink is quite tasty. According to its website, Misugaru is a protein-packed powder which comprises black sesame, black bean, black rice, brown rice and barley. So with these added nutrition, I felt very healthy after drinking it. LOL. And healthy drinks are always expensive. T.T This cost $6.30, almost the price of a Starbucks drink.

Highlight of the day: Crabs!

(My crab is dancing on the table)

First time over at Dancing Crab, and I was quite excited. I have been meaning to go there for a few times with Amanda, but we always decide against it in the end because as poor university students you should not spend unnecessary money on expensive food. Hahahaha!

The total damage is $217. However, it became a rare treat from my uncle (but my mum paid half of it in the end).

We ordered a upgraded version of Combo 1 which comprises a 1.8kg Sri Lankan crab and 300g prawns, with German sausages and corn. Additionally, we ordered another 300g of prawns, coupled with some side dishes as well:

(Spicy Buttermilk Wings)

(Calamari Ring)

The crab was undeniably tender and juicy, and there is really a lot of meat. It is quite fuss-free as the meat is easily detachable from the shell. Only exception is that the sauce did not suit my palate that much -  we ordered its signature spicy sauce (mild).

I think I might prefer other restaurants better. Dancing Crab is slightly on the expensive side, so it was not quite worth it.

After dinner, we hopped over to a few shops because it was the Black Friday sales (screams internally) and I got myself some apparels. :D Happy kid because I have been controlling my shopping urges ever since finals started. Hahahaha!

P.S. Vivo City is really too huge and confusing for a direction-idiot like me. Perhaps it is a blessing in disguise because I will need to exercise (walk) more to burn more calories in order to eat more. LOL.

P.P.S. Rubber band in my mouth is constantly snapping. T.T Troublesome much. Kids please do take care of your teeth and go to the dentist to pluck out all your shaky baby teeth, so you won't have to endure the torture of wearing braces.

Let them sleep while you grind.
Let them party while you work.
Let them see the difference in the results.

Soft and dangerous.

It was the birthday week for my two lovely besties, Amanda and Vivian! Hahahahas, everyone please wish them happy birthday. They are really dear to me.

(Ripped from freshwallpapers.net)

When the sister finished her O's and she is happily enjoying herself, while I'm just stuck at home mugging... Okay maybe not. I think I kind of forgot how studying feels like. Geeez, get a grip yanqi. T.T

Reported to school yesterday for my first paper and it was a dreadful experience. I stared at the questions over and over again, but I didn't have any idea how to begin. I swear the marks allocation is quite screwed LOL.

Vivian and Sabrina and me had quite different answers so, the only thing that I can do now is pray. T.T Complained to my professor that the bonus question she gave was lousy to which she claimed was a lovely surprise. I should have known better. Okay, I admit I really lost to her. T.T

(Indonesian grill)

Weekly affair to NTU for lunch since two months ago, because it is cheaper than outside #cheapos Yes, typical Singaporeans. But the standard of the food is really up there! I think much better than NUS oops.

(Dumplings)

Tried different snack as well. We usually order xiaolongbaos or red bean pancakes, but this time round we ordered dumplings and it was very yummy too! P.S. Their mala pot is cheaper than NUS' T.T Sighs.

(Red Wine)

Ahma's advanced birthday celebration this week and I swear it was a very grand event T.T The restaurant we went to was Asia Grand, which was located at the building of my previous office. LOL, I was so excited that I snapped a photo and sent it to my ex colleague hehes :D Fond memories of the place.

We had cold crabs (which is freaking delicious and so fuss-free because the meat is so easily 'detachable'). We also ate shark's fins soup, shellfish on bamboo, two fresh fish, a plate of vegetables, Peiking duck rolls and noodles fried with the remaining duck. Not to forget the longevity buns which tasted extremely delicious and lastly, an enormous serving of fruits comprising papaya, guava, dragon fruits and watermelon. Three bottles of red wine as well.

Didn't take pictures because I thought it was embarrassing with the relatives around. What a pity. x.x

It was really nice but the bill came up to #$&_-@()=+':%/. Heartpain. Was against the idea of splurging on birthdays, but then again, being one of the youngest in the family means you have no say in decision making. T.T

Went for a flu vaccination yesterday as well, but immediately caught a flu today. Geeez, is it must ask for a refund?! LOL. I guess I only have myself to blame because I stayed up very late yesterday night (till 3am wth) to complete some transcription work.

When the whole world thinks you are very free when in reality, you are tied down with many commitments T.T

We were the young and hopeless. We were the broken youth.

Broken Wings.

(Ripped from Tumblr)

"Don't break a bird's wings and then tell it to fly. Don't break a heart and then tell it to love. Don't break a soul and then tell it to be happy. Don't see the worst in a person and expect them to see the best in you. Don't judge people and expect them to stand by your side. Don't play with fire and expect to stay perfectly safe. Life is about giving and taking. You cannot expect to give bad and receive good. You cannot expect to give good and receive bad. Does it happen? Yes, but don't make that an excuse for you to keep doing what you know is wrong. Don't blame life for what you do. That is so selfish and ignorant on your behalf."

Tuesday, November 15, 2016

Two hearts, they were broken up.

Since you have chosen to take this path, take it without regrets. No point comparing thereafter, because it is your choice to do this.

(Ripped from pinterest)

After wasting three days to do online shopping and watching of shows and all the other nitty gritty stuff, I decided to start studying yesterday. LOL, is it finally?

Headed to school early with JJ to study at the Science Library. It was productive because I finished writing my notes for two chapters. Hehehehes :D

Feeling a sense of achievement, I decided to reward myself for my productivity. So here's goes:

(Doctor Strange)

Finally caught this highly-raved Marvel movie, and it was really great with all the CGI effects. And I understand the plot without having to Google (I know I suck because these Marvel movie plots are usually too complicated for me to comprehend) LOL!

Thereafter, I met up with the rest of the clique for Amanda's advanced birthday celebration. Bought her a helium balloon, hehehes, which JJ claimed to be very cringeworthy (It is My Little Pony), but birthday girl said it is very cute! :D

Hopped over to Song Fa Bak Kut Teh for dinner. Hot soup for the chill weather. Perfect.

Tender is the night lying by your side,
tender is the touch of someone that
you love too much.

Friday, November 11, 2016

You were a toxicity I confused for thrill, but now I can breathe better.

I thought that this format was great because it is more organised. Hehehes :D

(Ripped from Tumblr)

Things to be grateful for:

1) Colleagues did not forget about you.

Was pleasantly surprised when my colleague from a previous job sent me a text and updated me about the 'company's affairs' a few days ago. Hehehes, even though I worked for that company for a short while only, it felt good that your colleague did not forget about you! Hehehes, I think it is important to maintain such relationship with ex-colleagues; I really value the friendship formed. :DD

Anyways, I finally found the courage to say hi to my ex-boss. I worked at that company after O's, which is like four years ago?!  LOLOL, I was quite shocked when she started appearing frequently in the shop ever since the start of this sem. But since today is the last I will patronise the shop... Decided to ask her if she still remember me. AND YESH SHE DID.

Except that she can't remember my name. And I cannot remember what name did I used that time. Was it Angie or was it yanqi? Hahahas first world problems omg.

So anyways, I went "Hey, are you (name)?" Then she smiled and said, "I remembered you". Hehehehehes :DDD

2) School is officially out!

Last day of school today, and boy, was I glad that I managed to survive hell week. Although I felt a little sick after sleeping only for 4h one day, otherwise all was good. :D

Hehehes, as of now three modules are down which makes me feel very happy like I'm floating in the air. Kidding, I don't feel anything. This semester really passed too fast. LOL. T.T The only thing I'm glad about is that there will be no more writing at the moment anymore. Wah I really had enough of press releases and news writing and social media writing already. T.T

3) Groupmates did not disappoint me.

Would like to thank my NM3219 groupmates for being so efficient. Although it was a bit of a rush nearing the deadline, I'm quite happy with how everything turned out in the end. Took us four hours to do slides, but hehehes, not trying to show off, but I think our slides looked the nicest among the other groups even though we have zero artistic flair. (Don't expect too much, we still stick with white background and all, but if you do relative comparison, I think our slides look good. I think because our slides really have minimal words LOL).

Yeahs, and although we were met with crisis two weeks before the deadline (when my lecturer suddenly dropped a bomb and said our idea won't work), and everyone of us went into a panic attack. I'm glad we managed to pull it off together and I am really a proud owner of our project. Hehehes :DD

Thanks Jiazi and Vivian!

Wanted to post the picture of us up but decided against it, because being in media courses teach us that we have to ask permission before we use people's photo. Shall not post if not my journalist professor sue me later LOLOL!

4) Another headache project which we eventually managed to rush it out, and quite well done in fact

I usually finished my projects/presentation slides a few days (maximum one day) before the submission deadline because #kiasu.

However, this project got me feeling like @()=+-/%: because on the night before submission we were still rushing. I slept at 1.30am because I was really too tired, and some others are still doing last minute checks of the report.

But all went well. I think both our report and presentation are really well done. :D They are good team mates but I think I don't really have dynamics with them. LOL. It takes me quite some time to warm up to people, and I guess by the last tutorial, I feel less out of place already, but still... Hahahaha.

3) I have a cute professor.

My team mates left early, so I requested a solo picture with my NM2219 professor. Boy, she is freaking cute because she practically just 'hug' me like I'm a friend, LOL. I mean ususlly, your professor and you will be standing quite awkwardly rights hahaha.

And shs 'insulted' Amanda for her lousy (LOL) photography skills. Not once, not twice. It seems like we keep retaking because the professor says she look ugly in the photos, and even provided a mini lesson on phototaking for Amanda. HAHAHA Omg biggest joke of the semester. :P

Now you know who to avoid when you need to find people to help you take photos.

and how awesome it will be,

Everyone has a chapter they don't read out loud.

(Ripped from freshwallpapers.net)

When you are given a golden opportunity, but you just had to screw it up. T.T

When people say I don't have general knowledge, I took it with a pinch of salt. But now I think I really don't have. Arghs.

Still trying hard to find what's my forte.

Walking the grounds of gratitude I stumbled upon the palace of happiness.

Sometimes, it is better not to know anything at all than to have to pretend you don't know.

(Ripped from QuoteAddicts.com)

Happiness is...

1. Last week of school already!

That moment your professor broke out into laughter, while exclaiming "omg yes yes yes, last lecture!" and even went to ask another professor for the next lecture if he was excited because it was the last. Hahahas, Professor why you so cute. Where got professors happier than students for the last lecture one LOLOL!

2. Helped a granny and her daughter to NUH from Buona Vista

It left me a warm fuzzy feeling (despite me being late for school oops). Hahahas, they are very nice people, nagging at me (LOL) to study hard. By the way, thanks for complimenting me for my choice of colours for braces. I like to use bold colours so my braces are quite striking, but this is the first time someone actually complimented that my braces look nice. :DD

3. Grateful for Amanda for helping me collect my welfare pack

I realised I always had to ask her to help me with the collection of welfare packs since last semester LOL oops. Yay, thanks for queueing again although you collected yours already. However, I have no idea why this year they had to change the collection venue, which is at some deserted place and I had a hard time finding it. T.T

4. Made small talks with a fellow tutorial mate

We were queuing for welfare packs when this guy who was standing behind waved at us. He was a fellow tutorial mate from our GET class this semester, and woohoo I was actually quite shocked that he can recognise us although we did not communicate before. Hehes, he is quite a nice person to talk to.

Just a short two hours of lessons today, but I was exceptionally happy today. Maybe because I submitted and printed my project as well. :P

To change the world around you,
you must first change the world within you.

Saturday, November 5, 2016

It was words that I fell for. In the end, it was words that broke my heart.

This week was hectic omg. Had project meetings almost everyday because submissions are next week but we are not even half done with it. Sighs. Need to get this going omg guys.

I have no life.

Anyways, yesssh. I finally submitted the last of my assignment today. Omg finally?! I only got myself to blame when I chose the lesser-exams-but-replace-with-assignments road. Omg I cannot wait for everything to end!

By the way, it was one module down this week. The quiz was horrible because the questions asked were across topics, and I think the readings were quite irrelevant?! Everything came out from my brain, arghs. I hope I do decent although after I went home and think about it, I think I drifted/not answering to the question. T.T

Dim sum buffet with mummy @ Yum Cha, Chinatown. It was surprisingly full on a weekday afternoon, and there's alot of Westerners as well.

(First round)

(Deal of the day)

I guess after this meal, I have a phobia of dumplings now. T.T They have other variety as well, such as congee and chicken wings, and even desserts like mango sago! Approximately S$28 per pax. It was honestly quite filling, so I skipped dinner. Hehehes :D

Oh by the way, for one of my module, there was suposed to be a guest lecturer. However, he failed to turn up omg. My professor was so embarrassed that she had to cancel the lecture. Sighs, how can anyone be so irresponsible to not even drop a phonecall to say something crop up and he will be late/not able to come?!

Eventually my group took the time to discuss the project. LOL, is it blessing in disguise? But I still feel so bad for Prof. Sighs.

(Baked Cheese Tarts)

(The person cheat me of my last cheesetart T.T)

Always the last on the bandwagon. LOL, but it's okay, I finally got to taste it. But it is not that fantastic in my opinion, definitely not worth all the rave omg.

Oh, and I bought four cups of Starbucks for the family as there is a one-for-one offer for their Christmas drinks. The hot toffee nut latte is still the best.

Spotted many old friends this week in school and it feels great to chat with them again. I miss the old times.

Some kind of wonderful.

Updates for this hectic week!

A dinner date to celebrate Huiqi's birthday on Monday. So thankful for this woman. My very low-maintenance bestie. Hahahahas! (: Seven years of friendship but still going strong.

(Mad for Garlic)

Being the aunties that we are, of course we have to make use of all these vouchers rights! So here we are at Mad for Garlic again LOL! Their one-for-one e-voucher expires 31 October. This time we ordered a different type of pizza - Ham and Cheese. Don't be fooled by its name, it is really nice. To be honest, I felt that it was nicer than their chef's recommendation: Snowing Garlic Pizza. LOL.

(Lobster Cream Pasta)

Hahahahas, already tried this the other time we went, but it still won our hearts so hehehes :D Hmm, don't think I will be going back any time soon because as much as I think the food is fantastic, I ought to start saving some money. T.T

(O'ma Spoon)

The birthday girl suggested O'ma Spoon, so we ordered this Chocolate Banana flavour which is totally fantastic. Sighs, pocket burned once again for this overpriced ice kacang. >.<

But still happy birthday Huiqi! :D And I will pass you your belated birthday gift soon. Oops, I really don't have the time to go shopping for gifts now. :3

Speaking of time, I'm so glad that I have completed and submitted my fifth assignment of the semester yesterday. Woohoo! However, still need to pray because I haven't been scoring well for this module which makes me wonder sometimes how useless I am. But whatever ah, I can't wait for the semester to end quickly. I need a break. Really.

And I'm excited to say that I finally tried the famous chicken rice in Deck (Arts canteen), and it really didn't fall short of my expectations. :D And it is freaking cheap?! Hahahas, thanks Vivian for suggesting to head there for lunch despite the initial thought of having to queue deterred me LOL!

Studying session after lunch at the library was disrupted by a project meeting because my professor rejected our proposal. Sighs. Tough luck. T.T Had an emergency meeting to discuss our next steps. Why do I have so little confidence in us? T.T

(Claypot with JJ)

Thursday's. We did our very last reflection for GET1002, and I'm so excited because after the quiz next week, I'm really done with the module!

After 3h of intense studying (for JJ maybe, I'm just trying to figure out my notes to churn out a forum post), we took a bus and head to ABC Brickworks, a hawker near Commonwealth or Redhill or Queenstown, ohgosh I'm not good with directions. LOLOL! Okay, I just don't know where I was. Hahahahahas!

Checked out some reviews online and decided to give the claypot chicken a try. It wasn't fantastic, but I guess it was alright. Finally got my sugarcane after craving for it since a long time ago. :D

Cheers! Hell week is coming soon.

I'm waking up to ash and dust. I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust.

I have been exceptionally tired these days. Sighs. Finally found some time to head down to MacPherson to fix my laptop. Why ain't they open on weekends?! And I still have to return a few days later to collect it. Burden much omg.

I have so much to say about my project mates. I really missed having a authoritative figure for all my previous projects. Y'know those leaders who will dictate this and that, but keep us on track with deadlines. Sighs. Projects zero progress, deadlines in two weeks. Not to mention having quizzes and finals as well.

I don't get why some people just don't have that sense of urgency even when projects are due in two weeks time?! And we have to do a presentation for it as well. Wth seriously guys. Sighs. T.T I'm stressed. I really hate projects.

Gyoza King date with my mummy two weeks ago. The restaurant is located at Tanjong Pagar, just a few minutes walk away from the MRT. It is quite accessible, :D Except that there isn't any shelter, and it was raining when I went there, so you can totally imagine my mood. T.T

(I sat outside instead)

It is all high chairs in the restaurant (and squeezy), so we opted for the seat outside where it is more spacious, with the normal tables and chairs that I can lean back on. Hehes. :D It was windy that day as well, so it felt like air-conditioned. Somehow.

(Two set meals)

It was more economical to go for the set meal which costs $13.90 which is reasonably priced in my opinion, because it comes with a plate of 5 gyozas, two side dishes, a bowl of rice and miso soup. My mummy and I ordered four different side dishes to share, and they are all quite delicious despite its small potions. However, if you 这边吃一点, 那边吃一点, you will be full. Trust me. LOL! :D

There is also free flow of bean sprouts and cabbage. I think even if I don't order anything, I can still have a hearty meal with just a bowl of rice and the bean sprouts and cabbage. #lowmaintenance Oh but one thing, I don't find the gyozas exceptionally nice. They tasted pretty average. I felt that the side dishes are tastier. LOL, what happened. I thought they specialises in gyoza, hence the shop name? Hahahas!

If you are tired, sleep. If unclear, meditate.
If sore, move. If angry, forgive.
If unhappy, love. If bored, give.
Common sense is not always common
practice and so we suffer.

So I close my eyes to old ends and open my heart to new beginnings.

productivity, motivation, and achievement is stored.

(Ripped from poupetta64.tumblr.com)

Hahahas, is this a better way to put it rather than just saying procrastination? (: This week was great because there were no deadlines, but I'm procrastinating which sucks because it means that I will have to chiong my assignment again for next week's deadline. Noooo.

Route to happiness:

(Horfun at Utown's Koufu)

Geez, this was my first time eating at Koufu this semester LOL! Met up with a new friend Sherman for lunch on Wednesday.  To be honest, initially I went for Career Catalyst just because it was a pre-requisite for internship. I just wanted to get it over and done with it. But yeahs, I'm blessed to make a new friend. (: Is it putting networking skills that were taught during the session to good use?

(Ripped from Tumblr)

On Thursday, I purposely scheduled a GET project meeting right after my lessons since I had to wait for Amanda to finish her lessons to dinner together. And geeez, have I mentioned that I'm starting to like my GET groupmates? I guess towards the end where everyone started loosening up, things got funny and I really enjoyed it.

Or maybe because GET content is somewhat content from daily life, so I really participated actively during the discussions because LOL I don't have to think so much to contribute.

But yeahs, I doubt this friendship forged will last. We will probably say sayonara to each other after this semester, but I guess it is better than nothing because at least they are around to make my GET lessons more interesting.

And I felt wonderful because Brenda and I had this mini heart-to-heart session after the meeting. And we realised the both of us are facing the same problem (unrelated to academics) which made it even more hilarious.

(New pizza at Pizzahut)

Tried out their latest creation with Manda. Hmm, I wouldn't say it is fantastic, but okay okay luh. LOL! And it is not cheap ehs, $30 for six slices. But yeahs, it has been a long time since the both of us dine outside so I'm quite glad for the company (rather than the food). :D And we finally feasted with Llaollao omg. It has been so damn longggg.

And Friday. I guessed everyone was damn shag already, and I think nobody did the readings (I had stopped reading since week 7 oops) because during the presentations, when questions were raised, apparently everyone's faces just went blank. And as I glanced around, everyone is busy typing away on their laptops (with screens on Facebook/other assignments/youtube etc). Hahahas. Geeez.

Went home with Chermin and boy, it was fun with her omg. I guess our personalities are quite similar and so it is easy to get along. :DD

TGIF. But nahs, I'm not excited because I'm stuck practicing my music for tomorrow's lessons. T.T #busydaysneverend
