Lock me up in a dark room and I still can't take my eyes off you.

In lieu of the upcoming Great Singapore Sales (GSS), we had managed to snag some discounts for you girls under our campaign 'Take 3, Fight HPV'! Don't say bojio!

Firstly, we had partnered with various clinics to offer an exclusive discount for HPV vaccinations for NUS students. Visit our campaign site to find out more. Please call the clinics in advance to check on the vaccine availability before heading down! Do bring your student card as well for verification purposes. If you have any queries, feel free to ask me!

Secondly, PS Love is having an exclusive 15% discount for their products (Menstruheat, neck heat and back heat). Simply use the promo code 'take3fightHPV' when you make purchases on their website. The discount is valid till the end of this month (31 May 2018). I had purchased successfully a few weeks back, and the products arrived within a week. Fast delivery!

Lastly, CNP Laboratory is also having an exclusive discount for NUS students! Simply apply the promo code 'NUS2018' for a 20% discount when you shop on their website. :D I hope you guys have fun shopping as much as I do! I love sales and discounts and promotions. LOL #typicalsingaporeans

Anyways, I was at Astons the other day for dinner with the family. Hehes, we were at Suntec City and Astons was one of the cheaper options for us so... x.x

(Cream of Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread)

(Salmon Spaghetti)

As I only order their chicken set everytime I head to Astons, this time round I decided to try something new. LOL, I got their salmon spaghetti and to my pleasant surprise, they were so generous with their salmon! Hahaha, the set meal also comes with a soup and garlic bread which is quite worth it!

(Grillworks Chicken)

But humans are still habitual creatures LOL. We went back to ordering their chicken set without fail. Hahaha! It sucks because Astons recently revised their prices, and I can no longer pay for my meals with a single piece of $10 note. T.T Sighs.

Beneath the chandelier of stars and atmosphere
Tangled like the roots on the ground.
The windows opened up
The wind is blowing and we're both not making a sound.
It's like I'm melting on into you
Give me a reason why we should ever move.

I'm mad at all the lovebirds, cause they don't know how to play our song.

Time really flies LOL. It seemed like I just joined my company yesterday, but now that I counted, it was already my fourth week of internship?!? Internship is not fun at all, there's so many things to do compared to my previous internship. In fact, on my second day of work, I had an event and I ended up only knocking off at 9.30pm LOL joke.

But okay, at least I'm learning things and being productive LOL (: I love being busy hahahaha. This internship also let me realize how much I hate reading emails. Everyday I'm just trying my best to clear emails before I knock off. But I always see 10 over emails the first thing I report to work the next morning Zzz. T.T No peaceful days at all.

Also, last week I finally tried Nam Nam Noodle Bar @ Dhoby Ghaut with the mother! For the first time I don't see any queues at the restaurant LOL. :D Is it lucky or what hahaha!

(There's no GST yesh!)

(Pho Australian Beef Steak Slices and Beef Balls)

(Sauteed Lemongrass Pork Noodle with Crispy Imperial Roll)

We both agreed that the lemongrass noodles is more flavorful & also looked more appetizing compared to the pho. Additionally, the quantity for the lemongrass noodles seemed a lot more! LOL, you know what to order next time. Hehe :D After dinner, I brought my mother to Resorts World Sentosa to catch a musical.

(Super Mommy)

(Promotional poster for the musical)

It seemed like an opportune time to catch this musical 'Super Mommy' considering Mother's Day was just round the corner. I actually saw many young people bringing their parents/mothers to watch the musicals, how sweet! It was awesome because we got the tickets for free hahaha. It was even more awesome that we managed to snag the front seats (I was sitting at the fifth row from the stage) :D I love watching musicals because of the sound system. This is only my second musical to date, because musicals are just so expensive. x.x

(The opening)

(The ending)

(With the cast)

It was quite interesting eh! The cast mixed Mandarin and English, and a bit of different dialects, which made it quite relatable to us Singaporeans! The story was about a domestic helper Eny who was brought in to take care of the grandfather as his dementia worsens. The musical revolves around social issues faced by today's families, such as the challenges of living as a intergenerational family: how to take care of your children when both parents are working, how to take care of your sickly in-laws etc.

Hahaha, this is basically my predicament now, so I can totally relate to it hmm... x.x

All those kisses up against your car
For all those wishes on planes
We thought were stars
Memories like photographs
Oh baby, here we are

Today was a fairytale. You were the prince, and I used to be the damsel in distress.

Happy Mother's Day!

(Pandan cheese cake)

First time getting a cake for Mother's Day because I need an excuse to indulge. LOL! Pandan cheese cake from Bengawan Solo - the pandan sponge cake was quite dry but the taste of the pandan did not over power the cheese! (: Would still pretty much prefer Secret Recipe. Heh.

(Bandung and Coffee)

Chanced upon 1-for-1 mains promotions for Singtel users over at Zaffron Kitchen, and yay I was quite excited because the restaurant got Michelin star one! :D For the discount, simply go to your Singtel App > My rewards to book a reservation for the promotion.

(Table of food)

(Butter chicken and fish masala)

(Briyani)

(Dum Mutton Briyani)

(Dum Chicken Briyani)

Okay, it's damn hard for me to describe Indian food because I have no idea what am I eating HAHAHA. As in, I'm not sure of the ingredients used and all. But anyways, I think the food is really nice especially the butter chicken!

This is a short post with an awkward end to it. I'm currently doing an internship and am really tired now so will update more next time. Stay tuned!

Once again, wishing all the mothers here a happy mother's day! (: 你辛苦了.

To me, you were home. To you, I was just a vacation.

(Ripped from pixabay)

Tell me about the hands that broke you like tree branches. Tell me about the heart that made you a home, the barren soul that used your dry bones for kindling in the middle of winter. Tell me about the house fire, the ashes you rose from. Tell me about your resurrection - but don't you dare tell me you are not strong enough this time, don't you dare tell me that you cannot rise again, and again, and again.

I keep my hopes and dreams inside of you.

Yoogane is having a student promotion! It is a superb deal, really worth it. For $15 each pax, we shared their signature army stew (comes with cheese). There were unlimited toppings (read: we can refill whatever ingredients), and it also comes with free drinks and desserts!

The best part is that the promotion ends at 5pm. Hahaha, I grabbed my sister and we reached the restaurant at around 4.45pm so we ate this for dinner instead. We were so freaking full after this meal, and we didn't even ask for any toppings?! We were struggling to finish whatever we were served omg. Yoogane, you have done this right.

(Mountain of food)

(The cheese has melted!)

(Desserts)

The desserts were small cups of puddings (I finished in 3 mouths?). We ordered one Berry Lime Curd and one Berry Plum Curd, and both taste very smooth and nice. (: It tasted weird at the start, but I grew to like the taste gradually. There are a few options for the drinks as well. We ordered brown rice green tea and barley tea. Not sure if it's just my tastebuds, but they tasted strangely similar. LOL. Too similar. x.x

(Ben and Jerry)

Two weeks ago, I finally went for Ben and Jerry's free cone day event! The queue was insane, but I think I deserved it because I went to the Somerset branch LOL. But then again, despite the long snaky queue (I queued till Forever 21 lehs wtf), we managed to get our ice cream cones in 30 mins! :D A good bonding time with my sister because we got nothing to do but to talk to each other while waiting HAHAHA.

P.S. The ice cream cones melted damn fast?! I whipped out my phone quickly after the staff passed me the cone, but it melted and became this horrendous state. After the photo, I ate like a kid omg. The ice cream were all over my hands T.T What a messy affair.

This grief you give, it takes it's toll.
It dries my heart and drowns my soul.
I am a tree whose branch you broke.
The brittle wood has turned stones.

Secret and lies kill relationships.

(The story of my bestie, HuiQi and I)

Took me ten million years but I finally finished editing yet another video of my Korea summer school trip from last year. LOL, so much of a procrastinator but it was quite fun watching all the videos and reminiscing the past. :D I really enjoyed my time there, and I strongly encourage all students to go for overseas exchange opportunities!

I really love travelling, but I can't seem to find people to travel with me sighs. I thought of going alone, but I am not confident of travelling myself because I'm too much of a scaredy-cat. Given the direction idiot that I am, my parents probably won't feel safe leaving me alone in a foreign country as well, zzz. Sighs.

(Japanese-style BBQ)

Headed down to Shaburi and Kintan Buffet with the mother for lunch because they have lunch promotions! Paid around $15 for each person in the end, and I thought it was quite worth it! The restaurant is actually a new dining concept with two options - people can either choose to go for Shaburi (Japanese shabu-shabu hotpot) or Kintan (Japanese premium BBQ). We chose the BBQ in the end.

(The amount of meat is actually fixed for the lunch deals)

We paid the cheapest option for the lunch promotion, therefore we were only given two plates of meat each. The portion was quite okay, and the meat was actually quite delicious (unlike those cheap meats we always get whenever we head for Korean BBQ buffet) LOL! They have a few options for us to choose from, such as chicken, pork or beef.

(Close-up of the meat)

They have a salad bar as well, and a buffet counter whereby we can grab other dishes such as japchae, sushi and chawanmushi. The drinks and ice-cream were also free-flow, and the best part? It is soft-served ice cream! The buffet is really quite worthwhile, but I suggest y'guys to first check whether the promotions are still ongoing!

(Table-top view)

Oh, I forgot to mention, there's a downside to the buffet. Diners can only enjoy the buffet up to 90 minutes, which is quite short and unfair to those who wanted to spend time with one another over a meal T.T I have to rush through my meal, because as a typical Singaporean, I kept grabbing food non-stop until the time's up. HAHAHAHA!

I can't believe you did it again
Walked by and took my heart with you
Why did you have to look so good?
Don't you know that I'm trying to hate you
Trying to have a dream without you in it
But how can I put out this fire
When you're the one who lit it

Friday, May 4, 2018

My mind is like an island, drifting through the ocean.

School finally ended last Friday! I lasted more than 24 hours without sleep because I'm rushing assignments. Guess who never ever learn her lesson of doing last minute work? LOL, but I'm so glad that Amanda is here to suffer with me hahaha! I sent her my draft paper on Thursday evening for her to read through, and she got back to me quickly by night time. Life savior really!!

But I really 犯贱 too. I actually have two submissions due on Friday, but I enjoyed a great movie on Thursday night LOLOL. Talk about priorities.

(Ripped from interaksyon.com)

Hui Qi jio-ed me to watch Infinity Wars with her on Thursday. I agreed, thinking that I would have completed my assignments by then. I think the past me would have really accomplished this, but the present me is too much of a procrastinator to get things done promptly. LOL T.T The movie was great really. Rest assured, there won't be any spoilers here. But I really enjoyed myself thoroughly, and it was a good break to relax my brain too. The movie was quite exciting with many fighting scenes LOL. I really think it is super worth it to go watch it! Recommended!

So anyways, the movie ended at 12am plus, and we were running like some mad dogs to get to the train station. The last train was freaking 12.17am, and thankfully we managed to catch the second last train T.T LOL, it was a horror to me but more of a horror for Hui Qi who stayed at the other end of the Singapore. She reached home close to 2am. LOL. T.T

I reached home and pull an all-nighter and finally completed everything at 8am. Washed up and breakfast before heading to school to submit the hardcopies. Hmm, so freaking tiring zzzz. But okay I really deserved a slap. LOL.

(Ichiban)

We had Ichiban for dinner before the movie. It was good, but nowhere as good as Genki hahaha! Genki has Mentaiko salmon but I couldn't find it on the Ichiban menu hmm... I think Ichiban's salmon sushi taste fantastic as well, but wah that plate of 3 salmon maru cost $6 LOL. Xiao expensive. x.x But again, I need to reward myself for my hard work HAHAHAHA. Okay, I really think that I'm the most annoying person on Earth.

(Mango Bingsu)

Bingsu for dessert over at Nunsaram Korean Dessert Cafe, and they were quite generous with the amount of mangoes! The best thing is that the mangoes are sweet hehes.

Red light turns to green, then back to red again.
I wish there were some other travelers out here
to slow my travelling.
Even though the wheel rolled on,
inside I still don't know. And it troubles me so.
