I want to be the only hand you ever need to hold.

(We love the decorations on the cake!)

No logcake for Christmas this year, because I found something more interesting! Presenting to you Merry Berry Earl Grey Christmas cake from BreadTalk! It is a earl grey flavoured chiffon cake layered with earl grey cream and caramelized apple filling, topped with fresh strawberries. The taste of the earl grey is quite strong, and I really love it!

(Waste of resources)

But sometimes, I wonder why do they need to keep the cake in such a big box?! If you peer at it closer, the cake is less than half the size of the box, LOL.

(Spread of savoury goodness)

My sister and I had some Capitaland Mall vouchers, so yay to free lunch at Pizzahut! We ordered from their student meal specials, and unfortunately they do not serve our favourite lasagne >.< In the end, I got their Chicken Pomodoro Spaghetti which tastes great. My sister ordered the Curry Zazzle Baked Rice which sucks, and it is way too spicy for the both of us. T.T

But another bonus point, we had four free Honey Baked Wings! Pizzahut implemented a new system, whereby we need to use our mobile phones to place orders via either their website or application. And if you use their new ordering system, Pizzahut will serve you free chicken wings! Good deal yeahs? We are definitely not rejecting free food, thanks for making our day :D

(Hershey Ice Cream Cone)

This had got to be my favourite ice cream cone flavor from McDonald! I'm so addicted to it, because it really tastes like the Hershey chocolate! Thanks Macs, I am so impressed.

(Christmas gifts from JH!)

Also, a couple of days back, the boy travelled all the way to my workplace to find me for lunch, and to pass me this bag of stuff :D I feel so blessed. On a side note, I can't express enough excitement about my upcoming trip to Japan with my bestie Amanda! Super expensive city, but I hope that my graduation trip will be fun!

They say look out the window to find happiness but all I need to do is look at you.

If I can tell Santa what to give you, it would be happiness and peace, not just this Christmas, but for the entire year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone! :D

Christmas Wonderland
- Gardens by the Bay -

(Admission Tickets)

Guess which two idiots did not buy tickets online in time, then we ended up having to pay extra $2 each to buy tickets on site. They didn't even let us keep the physical tickets for souvenir purpose!!

(Lights dancing in the sky)

There were many people, but thankfully it was not very crowded. Perhaps it was because we went on a weekday night. The main attraction - the Luminarie light structure - was quite disappointing, because they put this mirror maze thing in it which just ruined the entire structure. T.T

(But we managed to snap a nice photo with Santa)

I think this was the main highlight of our visit hahahaha! The queue into the Santa's Grotto was quite short, and there were some other magnificent structures in the room! We were taking photos halfway when a cute little girl just wiggled her way into our photo. Damn cute, we took a selfie together in the end. I love kids! :D

(Picturesque)

'twas a great night :D Thanks JH for accompanying me. Hope everyone had a great Christmas too!

Life is a drink and love is a drug.
Oh, now I think I must be miles up.

You came to rain a flood.

The best love is the kind that awakens the soul.

I struck gold when you became my friend. I am so glad that we met, and you don't know how much my life has changed because of you. Dear Hui Qi, I hope you have the happiest birthday. Happy belated birthday, bestie! :D

(Grilled Fish with Rice)

Dined at Hot Tomato because Hui Qi was craving for that, but there wasn't anymore student deals because we only reached the place at 7pm plus. We ended up ordering their normal mains, and I got myself their Grilled Fish with Rice dish.

One word of advice, stick to their pasta. I was quite famished because of a long day at work, so I wanted something more filling. However, apparently rice is a bad choice... T.T

(Cakes from Lady M)

We dropped by Lady M after the dinner, and we ordered their signature Vanilla Mille Crepes Cake for Hui Qi and the 'Gateau Aux Marrons' cake for myself. My cake has a fanciful name, but basically it is almond flour cake with whipped cream and chestnut cake. It is not bad actually, I would rate it a 9/10 because it is very nutty and not very sweet!

Celebrating our 9 years of friendship~ Thanks for being the big sister in my life even though I am supposedly older than you, hahaha. Thanks for taking care of me, and guiding me in my studies/life. We have come so far! You simply are the best, never spend a moment doubting it. So keep shining, my bright star. Have the best birthday!

Oh, angel sent from up above.
You know you make my world light up.
When I was down, when I was hurt,
You came to lift me up.

Strangers can become best friends just as quickly as best friends can become strangers.

I have been keeping myself busy these days with an internship, so all's good! :D Feeling so blessed because I felt that my life is going back on track. We will take things slowly and hopefully everything will work out in the end!~ Let's hope that 2019 will be a better year!

Anyways, there have been many drama going on in my school department these days, and I just hope that everything will die down soon. As much as I don't have a great sense of belonging to school, I still hope that my school's reputation won't be tarnished x.x

(Genki Sushi)

Throwback to the last day of school.

After my NM4102 presentation which I think we did well, Vivian Phang and I headed to Genki Sushi for a celebratory meal. Hehes, we ordered everything salmon and it was all so good! I missed their Mentaiko salmon! :D If there’s something that I would thank CNM for, it is for connecting me to my old pal again. We were secondary school mates who lost contact ever since we went our separate ways in JC, but we met again coincidentally in University because we were doing the same major. For this, I’m grateful! Really.

(Train Selfie)

So after the meal, I went to find JJ and we ended up at Singapore’s oldest reservoir, the MacRitchie Reservoir. As you can see from the photo above, wearing a skirt and wedges, someone is obviously in the wrong outfit for hiking. T.T

(The skies are blue!)

(View from the Tree Top Walk)

(And the best thing is, there wasn't anyone here)

It felt great to breathe in fresh air, and it was a great exercise considering that it had been quite some time since I last hiked! One thing to be thankful for, is the minimal sunlight LOL! I really cannot stand the afternoon sun x.x However, it rained the day before, so the ground is a little muddy...

Also, I said goodbye to my favourite wedges which I bought all the way from Korea. It survived the 3h long hike, but it died the moment I reached home x.x Sighs.

'Cause your love is the greatest gift of all.

Happy belated birthday to bestie, Vivian Ng! Best friends are friends who keep your embarrassing secrets private. Thank you for always keeping my less than proud moments under wraps. I think I have too many of them, and I do not want to lose my image HAHAHA!

Meeting for dinner because the busy lady is working, and she only has time to meet me for dinner. We were back to our favourite place Itacho for dinner! No idea why, but we always eat Japanese food whenever we head out?!

(This teriyaki squid is the bombz)

(Salmon Sushi)

(More salmon sushi)

(Salmon sashimi with salmon sushi roll)

We have serious issues LOL, did we just order salmon and just salmon for the entire meal?! This shows our love for salmon HAHAHA. Also on a side note, thanks for making me run all the way to Suntec City just to get your Xiaomi portable charger before the shop closes. T.T I lost all the weight gained from the meal.

Anyways, my presence is your present LOL - inside joke. But don't worry, I got you a real present too! A super nice blush palette! :P When I think back to all the things we've been through, I'm so thankful that I got to go through everything with you by my side. Happy birthday to my best friend who will never let me go through it alone!

Every time I hear our music play,
Reminds me of the things that we've been through.
In my mind I can't believe it's true.
But in my heart the reality is you.

Pull the stars down from the sky, so I could wish on them all.

These few days, I have been chilling at home, catching up with my Korean variety shows and feeling bitter about wasting my life away LOL...

(A little girl trying out rock climbing)

So I decided to explore Singapore and finally ventured out a little further from my house estate! I eventually ended up at Kallang Wave Mall! The mall is located within the 'Sports Hub', so there are many sports facilities nearby. One can head over to run at the Stadium, do dragon-boating and even attempt rock climbing! But #sorrynotsorry, yours truly is not sporty so yup x.x

My main purpose of heading there was to try this 13 Stages restaurant that was opened by the celebrity host Mark Lee! They serve 7 different types of chicken rice, and 13 types of coffee from the different Malaysia states! It was quite cool~

(Kaya Butter Wraps)

For appetizers, we order this Kaya Butter Wraps that was super overrated. LOL, it costs $2.50 which is quite cheap in my opinion, but I expected something better because I personally I love eating wraps!

(Three types of chicken rice)

Basically, we ordered three different flavors of chicken so we can share among the three of us. I have to say that the chicken tasted mediocre.

(Curry chicken)

((Dang Gui Chicken)

(Ginger Chicken)

(Coffee from Perlis and Pulau Pinang)

The food was not fantastic, but I will definitely still head back to the restaurant for their coffee! Their coffee is to die-for~ Next time if you are considering to chill at some cafe and do up some work, you can visit this place! Their coffee are generally cheaper than the typical cafes you find out there.

In your arms,
I found a strength inside of me.
And in your eyes,
there's a light to guide me.
I would be lost without you.
And all that my heart could ever want,
has come true.

Don't let yesterday use up too much of today.

Happy belated birthday to my bestie for the past six years, Amanda Seah!

(Twenty-two year olds with a child-like mind)

My birthday wish for you is that I hope you never stop enjoying the small things in life, because that's what makes life worth living. I hope that you take some time to enjoy the present while working for a better future. And I hope your year will be full of memories, happiness and adventure. I will always be supporting you~

(Ticket to the amusement park)

Throwback to the time spent at Universal Studios Singapore (USS)! It has been ten million years since I visited the place, because the tickets are #expensive

(When can I ever enjoy life like this zebra?)

(Did I mention that one of my favourite animals is the lion?)

Firstly, we took some lazy train to see these cute animals from the Madagascar cartoon! We went up thinking that it would be some exciting ride, but it turned out to be those chill, family-friendly ride. Hahaha! Okay luh, not bad for the first ride of the day!

(Lookalike?!)

(Me and my best friend, Mr Zebra)

We continued the lazy rides, and this time we got on the Carousel! There are many animals to choose from, but Manda and I just run towards the bigger animals LOL. #fightthekids #snatchwiththem

(The Ferris Wheel that we took eternity to find)

As we suck at reading maps, we wanted to identify a landmark to find our exact location. According to the USS map, there is a ferris wheel at the place that we were standing that time. However, we were not able to spot it. In the end, we chanced upon it when we headed to one souvenir shop. It turned out to be some mini kiddy ride. Like whut?! We were expecting some big ass 10m tall ferris wheel T.T

(Just realized we were decked in black and white)

At the end of the day, we tried all the rides except for the scary Battlestar Galactica: Human vs. Cylon. We still cannot bring ourselves to ride these omg. T.T On a side note, we spent $14 each for lunch at USS. It was super expensive and the quality does not meet its price?! Maybe next time y'guys can consider packing your own food there to save on some costs, or have a picnic there! :D

(Further proof that it is not worth $14)

(Back to our childhood)

Thank you bestie for the amazing day! There are friends and then there are best friends, once again happy birthday to the best friend that I could have ever asked for!

City lights don't shine as bright when we are apart.

Throwback to a few weeks back, where I got a special delivery breakfast from JH. It was yummy banana cake all the way from Johor Bahru! Hiap Joo Bakery definitely sells one of the best banana cakes in that district. :D

(Special Breakfast)

The Story of Me Being a Slave to Consumerism

Okay, it is not so much of a story, but more like how these year-end sales are bloody money suckers, and how I still fall for them despite the awareness T.T

9.9 Sales

Basically I bought a random lot of products, such as a bralet, some stickers, waterproof handphone pouch, as well as silicon gel to stick on the back of the shoes because I never fail to get blisters with new shoes. But wait, wtf do I need stickers for?! LOL, y'know those things you buy on impulse because you just cannot resist how cute they are. Hmm... But I redeemed myself by selling off my bralet in the end because it was a wrong fit.

10.10 Sales

I managed to snag a free $5 off shipping voucher from Ezbuy, so I went ahead to buy some household items such as storage bags, laundry bags, silicon cling wrap and knife peeler. LOL, what an auntie I am but I actually find enjoyment in shopping for such products. I also pampered myself by getting bedroom slippers, shorts to wear at home, two bags and a box of hairties and many pretty hairpins! My best buy is tumbler which I am quite in love with. Hope this serves me well when I am out in the workplace!

Black Friday / Cyber Monday Sales

I bought shoes, socks, wallet, phone stand, pants, and more laundry bags (LOL) from Ezbuy and Lazada. I also splurged on Crocs. LOL, they have this super good 'Buy 2 Get 1 Free' promotion?! Not a fan of Crocs because I don't really quite like their designs, but then it is really quite easy to dry when I wear them during rainy days! But after which I came across Hush Puppies promotion of 'Buy 1 for 1', and I nearly fainted. I have my eyes on a few bags, but in the end I stopped myself from buying further because I am "broke".

Not to mention, my family are also buying many stuff too! This year, I also tried purchasing from shopping sites that I never purchased before, like ASOS. Hopefully the clothes fit :D

My hands got really itchy because online shopping applications such as Zalora and Sephora kept beckoning to me to spend money by sending many notifications with their promo codes and discounts T.T Thankfully Shoppee decided to log me out of the application (I only managed to sign in after all the sales) LOL!

(Pastamania)

But arghs, I am a broke woman now. So my sister and I tried to find some place with student meals for lunch. We ended up at Pastamania. Long time since I have been there, but there is a reason why - their food still taste mediocre.

I am all alone with you,
My days are dark without the glimpse of you.
But now that you came into my life,
I feel complete.
The flowers bloom, my morning shines,
and I can see.

Friday, November 23, 2018

And I'd walk a million miles, just to see you smile till the day I die.

Time flies and it is Week 14 now. Happy unofficial graduation to me. On one hand, I am delighted that there were no finals. On the other hand, school ended just like that, and I cannot help but feel quite lost T.T Ohwell, it still calls for a celebration and for now, I am going to enjoy my break first!

(Iberico Jowl Don)

Gochi-So Shokudo ごち惣食堂 is a newly opened eatery at Westgate, and recently they had an opening special of 50% discount! Of course I wouldn't be able to resist it, so I quickly dragged my mum over. Overall it was quite delicious, however because they used Iberico pork that has a lot of fatty meat, the dish does not suit my palates well. But then again, Iberico pork comes with many health benefits such as the lowering of cholesterol. So I guess give and take?

(Red Hot Spicy Peppers Burger)

(Dubbed as McSpicy's sibling)

Last week, I was out studying with my sister and we decided to grab a quick lunch over at McDonalds. They recently launched their new burger 'Red Hot Spicy Peppers Burger' and there was a 1-for-1, so guess who just decided to jump into the fire and bought it. -Not forgetting the fact that I have very low tolerance of spiciness-

My verdict was that it was not that spicy after all! It was not bad, but I wouldn't buy it again because I don't think there's anything special about it!

(Hot Chocolate)

(Spilled all over)

When you get clumsy Yan Qi to deliver the drink, you also get spilled drink. Hahaha, not sure why am I spilling my drinks all over myself these days, but it was horrible because I had to wash my shoes. I think this was the third time I spilled my drink these few weeks already, geeez.

Got a Starbucks 1-for-1 with Amanda, and this was my first time trying their hot chocolate because it was highly recommended by my sister, and no regrets, the chocolate drink was quite thick and rich! :D

Come to think of it, I think I am actually quite auntie? All the food that I have listed in this blog post are all promotional/discounted items HAHAHA!

Lost inside your kiss.

JJ 林俊杰 2018 Concert

(Ripped from Yahoo Style)

Throw back to August when we finally get to see JJ! Amanda and I were super excited when the singer JJ Lin announced that he will be opening concerts at various parts of Asia. He has been one of my favourite singers since my primary school days, and I remain his fan until now!

(Squeezing in time for a photo before the crowds stream in)

(Here's a photo with my mum and sister)

It was super tedious trying to queue for the ticket. Even though we have priority with our StarHub account and AMEX card, the ticketing website hanged on us many times, and we missed the opportunity to purchase the tickets. In the end, we decided to jostle with the other people at the post office on the last few days of ticket sales.

I was super thankful to Amanda because she managed to get tickets for the both of us, as well as my mother and sister! Here’s why I always tell her that staying in Sembawang is good. The place is ulu, which makes it easier to get tickets too! LOL, nobody managed to buy tickets from the CCK post office branch. T.T Not even the guy who was first in line.

(This is how close we were to him)

Initially we thought that we would end up with bad seats because our view was supposedly to be “blocked”. However, surprisingly we were quite close to him :D Feeling so blessed.

(Ripped from 8days)

(Ripped from 8days)

I'm not someone who will splurge on concert tickets. Come'on, they are so pricey?! However, since he was my childhood idol, that inner self in me was screaming to get my hands on those tickets. Expensive price to pay but the experience was worth it! His live singing was really fantastic, no wonder he was often dubbed "行走的 CD".

(Lightsticks)

Also, they gave out light sticks at the entrance of the Singapore Indoor Stadium! We were able to bring them home. I just tried it awhile back, and the light stick can still be lighted up. :D Thanks JJ for that great experience - I was very high throughout!

Sometimes it's so hard to believe
When the nights can be so long
And faith gave me the strength
And kept me holding on.
