Let "thank you" be your daily mantra.

Finally finished watching the Korean drama W after so long. LOL, gosh. I'm so behind time hahaha. There's still two more weeks to school reopening, is it time to catch another drama? (:

Being in Korea for a month means missing Singapore's food greatly. Throwback to our Malay lunch at IMM with the family! Malay food so nice but so expensive. T.T

(Nasi Bryani)

(Nasi Lemak)

I also tried Shilinfang with Fuchun. We wanted to dine at Astons initially but the queue was so long and we were already famished, so we gave up. Walked around Jcube and we saw a Pikachu mascot outside the Shilinfang giving out flyers. The Pikachu is a little distorted by the way, but anyways I have feels for hotpot so here we go!

(The rabbit seemed out of place)

To be honest, the restaurant gave me the creeps. Hahaha! The waitress led us to this corner seat which I really detested because we were facing the wall. And it was already so stuffy and humid the moment I sit down, I couldn't imagine what will happen when the hotpot arrived. Is it I get to steam my face T.T Tsktsk. We requested for a change in seats and were finally given a table. A proper table.

(Robot is standing in the middle of nowhere)

Heard from Xiaofang that the robot was supposed to serve us our food and drinks. But I guess it was not functioning on the day I went. It totally was a road blockage - standing in the middle of nowhere.

(Cartoon cups and tissue boxes)

I understand that the restaurant was supposed to be seafood theme (see: fishes paintings on the walls). However, there were also many plushies and cartoons appearing out of nowhere. It's like culture clash??? Very weird indeed.

(But yay to $10 hotpot!)

(Meat, meat, and more meat)

There wasn't a huge selection, and the quantity given was quite little. However, for the price you pay ($10), I think it is still reasonably priced. Personally, I still prefer the Japanese hotpot soup base though (e.g. Sukiyaki).

But first time meeting Fuchun, and I'm glad that things weren't awkward. :D Thanks for the two cans of drinks. Hehehes!

Sushi Express with L the other day because he said he haven't tried it yet. It's quite meh. There's very little selection, and the food doesn't taste as nice. I guess it was worth very cent we paid. LOL, I rather go eat Genki Sushi though, which is slightly more expensive but at least it taste awesome! Hahahaha! :D

(Chocolates from Russia)

Really excited to taste this because it is my first time receiving something from Russia! And also because I have not travelled there yet. LOL! Is it I suaku T.T

Thanks for not forgetting me. (:

Heartbreak and war.

Time flies, and today mark my second last week in Korea. Gosh, one month ago I was still feeling very depressed that I have to end internship early in order to go for my summer school. But now, I guess I have gotten use to life in Korea and I don't really want to head back...

Shall clear all my backdated posts first before churning out my blogposts on my Korea adventure :D This post is on the things I did on my last week before flying to Korea hehehes!

1. Dinner with Junhao

(Ramen Keisuke Lobster King)

Junhao brought me to Ramen Keisuke Lobster King (Clarke Quay) for dinner the other day. It was my first time there, so I'm really excited! I ordered the rich lobster broth, whilst he ordered the miso lobster broth. Guess whose is nicer hahahaha! :P Of course is mine, flips hair. LOL!

After which, we headed to the National Museum. I guess we are idiots HAHAHA. Apparently we saw some nice exhibitions on Instagram and we wanted to visit them to take some instaworthy photos (talk about shallow LOL). However, we didn't check the opening hours, and guess what. None of the exhibitions were opened when we reached there. T.T Unlucky yanqi strikes again gosh.

2. Yellow Day at Macs

(Minions Potatoes)

(So cutesy)

Not a fan of Minions but I'm glad that Macs rode on this Minion wave because I really love this yellow color theme! On a side note, the minion potatoes are very cute but they tasted quite mediocre ehs. The typical "好看不好吃" food. LOL.

(My favorite)

These banana cones are really good. They are so good that I ate it for three/four times before I fly to Korea. LOL! There's really the banana taste, and personally I thought that it resembles the banana milk from Korea! (: i love it so much, but I heard that Macs no longer sell these banana cones. Sighs. By the way, their banana pies are good also! :D

3. Dinner with Family

(Hungry Jack)

Favourite Western food stall at food courts. It is just so worth it to get the set hahaha. Main course with sides (fries and salad), as well as a bowl of soup, cost only $9.90. :D Speaking of Western food, I'm missing it sighs. Korea only mainly serve Korean food...

4. Lunch with Mummy

(Noodles)

Last lunch before I flew to Korea!

I'm already missing all my Singapore food! My fish ball noodles, my laksa, my minced pork noodles! I was thinking about this one late night: perhaps I should migrate to Korea and open a chain of fishball noodles shop here. I think quite profitable lehs!!

I think it is great to find out someone's story. I think it's even better when you become a part of it.

This was a super backdated post. Oops!

I ended my internship two weeks ago. It was my first internship, and to be honest, it was to a company that I have never ever thought of joining, or rather interning at. Hahahaha, it totally doesn't suit my personality but ohwell, I have no choice because I was rejected by many companies after knowing that I am only going to intern for a short period of time. Like really super short period of time. T.T

But no regrets. I really love this internship. The jobscope, the work culture and most importantly, my team and my fellow interns. (:

(Farewell gifts from my supervisor and colleagues)

This is so cute?! Hahahaha, thank you all for being so patient with me, for guiding me, and for giving me advice on life/work. I have the chance to interact with many colleagues and to work with them for various programs (or rather shadow them LOL). It was absolutely a good opportunity to see what my future media job entails.

(Farewell lunch treat)

I'm so blessed, my assistant director Simon Ng treated the entire team to lunch at Kenny Rogers for my farewell. It is a restaurant located at Velocity, Novena, that serves Western food. I was famished that day, and so I ordered as such (as shown in the picture) and everyone commented on how much carbs I'm taking. LOLOL, paiseh I just want to be full. But anyways, this restaurant is freaking expensive ah...

(Interns ftw)

And not forgetting my cute interns: John, Shaokai, Jasmine, Jiawen, Huiyi, Donovan, Richmond, Isaac and Rachel who is not in the picture. LOL, it was such a large group yet I was so amazed that we can actually bond quite well?! LOL, I miss eating lunches with them, going home with them on the dot. Sighs, just because I left the internship early, please forget me not. :D

(My cute New Media Team)

Special thanks to my supervisor, Winnie. Thanks for bringing me everywhere for various events, not to mention, shoots and filmings. I was quite involved in the filming for the K9 dogs and I was amazed by myself, because I am really scared of dogs. LOLOL! (:

Not to forget, my other colleagues: Evelyn, Kexin and Jianhao. They really helped and guided me a lot. Thanks for believing in me and giving me the chance to take charge of projects, like the interviewing of candidates. LOLOL, gosh. I was so nervous for it.

To be honest, I really felt saddened by the fact that I would not be able to see the project, that I embarked on with my fellow interns, to the end. Sighs. At that point in time, I really wish to extend my internship arghs but I can't. Isaac was saying that perhaps I can extend, then take leave for a month (because I was due for summer school). HAHAHAHA What nonsense!

(Jasmine, my partner-in-crime)

My fellow intern from the same team under different supervisors. Hahahaha, what would I do without you. I will always remember the times the both of us sharing a laptop to do work. LOLOL, thanks for being there because my workload is halved. I'm sorry that my absence meant that you have to tank everything by yourself. But I'm sure you will enjoy it! :D

(The closest interns)

Thanks for always bullying me, and giving me the strength to grow and fight back HAHAHA!

Sighs, speaking of that, recently the interns had the chance to meet Nathan Hartono and had their pictures taken with him. What on Earth?! Can I just fly back to Singapore now sobs.

(The NS boys)

My former intern, YanYi. Even though we only worked together for a week, thanks for giving me all the tips and advices, e.g. Who to look out for in the office. LOLOL! So stroked to find out that she also joined the Criminal Behavioural Analysis Competition (CBAC) which I also did join. HA, so the interns and the NS guys should stop laughing at me for taking half-day leave (and slogging my guts off through OT-ing to compensate the hours) just to join this competition.

Then we have the NSboys HsienHean and ChiHian. Just endure for awhile more because y'all are going to ORD soon! Thanks for being the big brothers in my life, for tolerating all my nonsense. Hahaha!

I always pester HsienHean to help me login to the computer because somehow my account was shut down T.T And I actually nagged at ChiHian, my cubicle mate, to stop throwing his food waste and packaging into the wastepaper baskets at our cubicle because it will attract cockroaches. LOLOL!

(Farewell gifts)

I got my team some tea and biscuits from Marks and Spencers. They are not the cheapest, but I really like the packaging and I hope it taste good! :D The broke me can only afford oreos for my interns and other colleagues HAHAHAHA.

I took pictures with the team leaders Diana, Edward and Ricky as well. The pictures are on my Instagram you can check them out hehehes. Uniformed man lehs :D

All in all, I really thank everyone for their help and guidance. I really enjoyed my short stinct here. It was a good experience and to be honest, I'm actually thinking if I should apply to go back and intern during my next break HAHAHAHA.
