Travel far enough, you meet yourself.

End of Week 4 internship.

Two new interns joined us last week and our lunch group just expanded to 9 of us. LOL, what a big group. Grateful to all of them because it has been a long while since I have such a big group of friends. Hehehes (: As the internship is coming to an end, I can't help but feel sad. I really like this bunch of intern friends. Wouldn't trade them for anyone else.

(Udon)

I forgot which eatery I went to, but it was a small shop tucked in a corner at Square 2. It is beside Pastamania to be exact. This bowl of goodness costs $8.90. It tasted not bad!

Spending way too much for lunch as an intern. LOL, I compared my lunch expenses with Amanda the other day, and it was horrifying to find that I actually spent double of hers?! Wth. Consequences of having male intern friends who eat like there's no tomorrow. After lunch, there will always be desserts and tea. Gosh. And I will join them in buying also, because temptations. Ahhh.

Work-life balance. I scheduled a lot of meetups with friends as well, :D But it is tiring to go out after work. Sighs.

1. Meetup with the NM people

First group of friends I found in NM. Thanks for making me believe that making genuine friends in University is not impossible. I'm glad that I can continue walking down the rest of my University life with y'all. :D

(Ripped from therantingpanda.com)

Went Koh Grill and Sushi Bar for dinner and I finally tried Shiok Maki! It is really Shiok! Advantage of going out in big groups: you can order more variety and pay lesser. Hahaha! We tried their stir-fried noodles and seafood fried rice as well, and really, it was the nicest rendition that I have ever eaten! I finally understood what all the rave is about HAHAHA.

(Ice Lab)

First time trying Ice Lab, and hmm, I felt that it was overrated. LOL, definitely prefer Oma'spoon or Nunsaram over this!

2. Meetup with Vivian Phang

My good old secondary school friend. Hahaha! It's funny how we are both in the same major yet we seldom see each other in school. Hmm, but always a good catch up session with her.

We headed to Sunday Folks for dinner. Waffles for dinner? Hahaha yup, we are insane. Vivian said she has a craving for ice and waffles, so off we go!

(Still looks good)

However, I guess it has been a long time since I last stepped in Sunday Folks. Everything changed omg. The counter now doesn't display the different ice cream flavours. Instead it is replaced by a display of colourful cakes. And we have problems deciphering the menu, so there are some hiccups in the ordering process. LOL.

(The Red Turtle)

After dinner, we travelled all the way to The Projector for a movie! Omg, it is a place whereby I have always wanted to try just that it is very far so I'm lazy to travel. Excuses I know LOL. $11.50 for the movie ticket, I think is quite pricey but for the experience, it is worth it!

The movie plot was about this man shipwrecked on a tropical island, and how he fell in love with a turtle-turned-woman. Hahaha reminds me of the recent drama that I just watched - Legend of the Blue Sea - whereby the male lead fell in love with a mermaid-turned-woman. Hahahaha!

3. Dinner with Vivian Ng

Dropped by Bugis to meet this babe! Cheapskate us ate Eighteen Chef for dinner because there is the $6.40 student meal deal. (: Ordered my favourite baked rice with the mango sauce. Hehehe :D Save money for dinner, so can get dessert!

(Nunsongyee)

First time trying as well. It is not bad, but it is on the expensive side. So I still prefer O'ma Spoon or Nunsaram! (: Got our favourite chocolate banana flavor!

4. Tea with the sister

Went out of office last Friday and lucky me got to knock off earlier. (: The sister decided to jio me for bingsu because she was in the vicinity. Geeez, always make use of me to pay for her cravings ehs T.T

(Nunsaram)

Got the large Tiramisu because there is 20% discount hehehes! I like the cake, but nahs, my verdict is that tiramisu don't go well with bingsu LOL!

But yeahs, I think I may be insane for eating bingsu three times this week. But I'm never getting sick of it. Especially if the weather is going to continue like this - damn hot. (:

Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another.

Backlog.

PL3236 Presentation last Friday with Melvin and Amanda was a success although I was trembling furiously. Hahahahas, it was my very first ever presentation in NUS, and overall I guessed we did well (but my tutor was yawning non-stop throughout my speech wts so I'm having second thoughts about my performance now LOL), but Melvin saved the entire show with his interactions with the class. He was quite engaging, and I felt that I am super fortunate to have him in my group?! Because it was a group presentation mark, and it is 20% of the grades, so hehehes :DDD

We had this spiciest Korean kimchi fried rice that I have ever tasted for lunch (at Kent Ridge kopitiam) and llaollao for dessert after our presentation. :D That sweet tooth.

Went volunteering again last Sunday, and this time it was to facilitate games for this bunch of kids. LOL, actually my job scope was just to take care of their needs (ie. bring them for toilet breaks, ensure they drink water) whilst the instructor and her assistant conduct the various games for the children to play. P.S. They are all so innocent and cute omg.

(Warm-up round before they proceeded to play Captain's Ball)

(Competing to see which team can 'kiap' the most number of pingpong balls using chopsticks)

(A 5-year-old and a 7-year-old trying to read)

It was quite amusing to see them enjoying themselves. Hahahas, they were all so excited and were jumping around non-stop. It was a stress reliever to play and hang out with the little children (though I don't fancy the idea of standing under the hot sun whilst they play their outdoor games LOL). Maybe I should do more volunteering related to children, I always feel carefree whenever I'm with them. It's as though I have travelled back in time to childhood, where I don't give a damn about anything, just play around and enjoy myself. Happy 就好!

P.S. The little children actually called me teacher and some of them stick to me throughout the activities. Hahahas, I feel blessed! :D 暗爽! It's these little things in life that matter.

A paper town perfect for a paper girl.

I finally met up with my bae Vivian for a long-awaited Itacho Sushi dinner last Thursday :D Cravings satisfied! It was my first time to the JCube branch, but I guess things got too embarrassing that I'm never going to patronise that branch anymore in the future ._.

(Our must-order dish: squid!)

(Curry lobster sushi with lobster salad sushi)

(Some lobster curry mango sushi yumz)

(Wew more sushi!)

(Roasted salmon sushi)

(Salmon sashimi)

Hmm, we landed ourselves in a crisis that day over salmon sashimi. T.T We were chatting while ordering our food and we wrote down quantity 12 in our order. We meant to order 12 pieces of sashimi, but apparently due to some miscommunication, they served us 12 plates of sashimi (which is freaking 36 pieces and they cost ~$50?!) Ohmylife.

Suffered from a panic attack when the manager said we could not return the sashimi slices because they have to be served fresh. T.T But sighs, it is really damn expensive?! We argued again and finally the manager relented and we settled with half the amount (aka 18 pieces / 6 plates). Omg. I think our lives were nearly shorten by 10 years ._.

If we could not return, the bill will definitely amount to $100+. Then it would really be us staring at the spread of delicious food in front of you, yet having no appetite to eat. T.T

Headed opposite for cheap cheap bingsu. We ordered my favourite flavour: Chocolate Banana. Recent obsession with chocolate bananas. Hahahas, missed my JC days boohoo, I want my chocolate banana waffles!

Volunteered at some event on Sunday before rushing home for a GER meeting which never materialised in the end LOL. Ohwell, more free time I guess? Hahahahas!

(My new friend, Weijie)

Joking. Not like I'm going to see him again. He's a Secondary 1 kid but I guess his level of maturity is not that far off from me. LOL, he took real care of me, like serving me water and all (when I'm supposed to be the volunteer and he's the participant Lmao). Roles reserved. Or more like I suck. LOLOL.

It's much too quiet in here. I want to disappear. I'm hearing myself thinking too clear.

Last weekend I went back to NUS to volunteer for this Run for Autism event, and it was nothing short of amazing. Initially I was quite reluctant to go, and was even thinking of pulling out, because I had no time to study for an uncoming midterm, but okay, I forced myself to go in the end, and I didn't regret my choice.

I was a road marshal under the Faculty of Science block (but apparently I was stationed at one of the courts at YIH LOL). The brilliant sun shone down so brightly that I think I'm going to be chao ta anytime. But thankfully, the run ended swiftly in around an hour. Hahahahas. And it didn't felt like an hour because I was busy people-watching. LOLOL! There are participants from all walks of life, from kids to adults to elderly, the autistic and parents who even pushed their baby prams! :DD They are damn cute hehehes.

And I'm quite touched by the participants' concerns for me. (: Some of them made small talks with me and even chided me for not wearing cap / applying sunblock (problem is I didn't know I will be assigned to such a sunny area; Manda was under shade all this while). Hahahahas, felt so blessed to be showered with concerns by strangers.

Some visuals of the event:

(With Amanda, Yanlin, Xingyu and Christel!)

(Now I understand why everyone loves taking photos at Town Green already)

(Rainbow!)

(Jump shot successfully taken at first try)

(Do we look like cleaners yet?)

(Photobooth)

(With Manda's YFA fellow interns)

(Lunch over at some Vietnamese restaurant at Kent Ridge)

It was more of having fun than volunteering, hahahahas! (: There's free ice cream and candy floss. LOL, and maybe next time if Project Embrace got any exhibition or anything, we can borrow the storyboards and all from the Run for Autism. LOLOL, outsourcing.

All the pain and the truth,
I wear like a battle wound.
So ashamed, so confused.
I was broken and bruised.
Now I'm a warrior.

Smile is the shortest distance between two people.

Went for a little CIP session with my dear mates, Poopy and Weina, (: Hahahas, 'Project Samaritan" is a project initiative to help the needy families living in the Yishun area. Students from AJC, both the interactors and the non-interactors, went door-to-door to collect canned and dried food from the residents living in Yishun. We then pack these food into bags to pass to the needy families, benefiting them. ^^ (y) Cheers! Felt a sense of achievement after everything. Hahahas, it feels good to be able to help those in need. LOL!

(My delicious lunch)

(Weina's very-big-portion lunch)

Hahas, Weina and I went Northpoint that Japanese foodcourt place for lunch. I had seafood garlic rice in stone pot (I don't know what they are called), whilst Weina ate some curry chicken omelete rice. Hahas, Japanese curry is sweet, I like <3 LOL! Lunch was scrumptious. #happykid96

Then I met up with bestie Vivian for a study date. LOL! :D Found a nice place to study (athough it is quite far, but it is a nice environment for people to study). Hahahas, we forgo our movie date for studies okayys!

(I really did studied!)

(Vian hard at work)

I did only 3 questions for electrochem, ohgawd. Super unproductive, because I kept getting stuck at the questions >.< But still, the aircon was on full-blast, and I was sitting on the sofa with super big table. LOLOL! :D It is truly a nice environment to study, hehes!

(My birthday presents from her)

It is actually quite similar to what Poopy gave me for birthday. Just that Vian's letters are shorter. LOL! :D It is actually for me to read whenever I'm feeling stressed or depressed. && there are only 16 letters because she ran out of paper. LOLOL!~

But kudos to her for her pop-up card. I guess she really put in a lot of efforts to do it, because it is quite difficult to cut, especially alphabets. LOL! :D I tried before and I nearly vomited blood because I absolutely have no patience cutting those delicate alphabets x.x

(Pretty girl)

(She spammed my phone with her selfies -.-)

Hahahas, study is a must. But first, let me take a selfie.

LOLOL!! :D That's the trend nowadays huh. Hahahas, :D I'm grateful to have such great friend, who came all the way to Bukit Panjang from Seng Kang. It is really far, from purple line to circle line to green line to red line to LRT. LOLOL! :D Loveyou truckloads!!

(Dinner at Wanchai)

Fish fillet baked rice, together with iced yuanyang with a scoop of ice cream in it. :D Whoopee!~ I miss eating baked rice!

(Selfie during dinnertime)

Hahahas, ohgawd. Thanks for everything Vian! :D Despite being classmates for 2 years, we barely talked. LOL, :D I also don't know why we suddenly become close in JC. We ain't even in the same JC, hahahas! :D Joke. But still, I appreciate your presence in my life. Thankyou. <3

She is staring at the bottom of her glass
Hoping one day she'll make a dream last
But dreams come slow and they go so fast
It was just an instant moment, that instant.

She closed her eyes,
and maybe one day she'll understand why
everything she touch surely dies.

Thinking of you makes the world looks like a fairytale.

(Ripped from Tumblr)

So this week was a great one because I have four days of school only, :P Mwahahahas! Finally a break from all the stress that were piling up on me. T.T I will die under the heap of stress manzxc, and this is only Term 1. Haish, :3

How I wished I had enough time to do my own stuff, such as daydreaming. I like to daydream, who doesn't? Alright, I know it is very unfair for me to complain that I am super exhausted and stressed, when others have it harder than me (ie. more lessons). But still, I am really exhausted. It is as though my rubber band (elastic potential energy) is going to be stretched to the maximum soon.

So I had tray return project with my darling PDG 09/13 and our juniors OG 09 on Wednesday at some Bukit Merah hawker centre. P.S. Bukit Merah is so freaking huge with plenty of hawker centers. T.T I was a little unhappy on that day itself, because somebody decided to anger me early in the morning. I was rather irate. I shall not mention names. #nicegirl I dislike her way of doing things, and her whinings, which are made worst if she was with her boyfriend. Arghs. There is always a limit to everyone's patience.

Anyways, I went "Eggs & Berries" after the project with Amanda and Kaiyuan,  located at Westgate, Jurong area. It was freaking expensive but super nice and filling! LOL!! :D Great heart to heart talk session, and thank you guys for being comfortable around me and opening up to me.

(Over the Rainbow, ordered by me)

(The retarded Kaiyuan with her delicious mushrooms)

(Bur sotong, Amanda, eating Egg Benedicts)

Hahahas, lunch settled, :P TYPO was on sales as well, and we bought notebooks for ourselves. LOL! :D 3 for $10 for the thin A4 notebooks and 3 for $15 for the thick ones. Quite worth it and pretty at the same time! Suits my taste! ^^ The three of us spent nearly $100 that day, ohgawd.

Although at times there may be awkward times, especially during our lunch, I still appreciate and cherish the these little moments. I enjoyed the two of your accompany, (y) Love you all truckloads!

By the way, today was considered to be terrible because I was scolded by my erhu teacher aka conductor, and I even got Shiwei into trouble T.T Because of my inability, he was scolded for not practicing that particular song. To be exact, he was insulted. My conductor scolded him with tons of harsh words, and my heart ached at those words that he spluttered. Arghs! Sorry sorry! It was partially my fault D:

I absolutely abhorred my CCA.

Thank god my CCA section mates were considered to be quite bonded (as compared to my secondary school). It was great to know that you have somebody there for you. Somebody to back you up, somebody to help you when you are in need. Woohoo!~

I think I became closer to Shiwei now, and drifted away from Junho >.< Just some little thoughts of the day. Hahahahas! :D

Love me or love me not.
I picked up the flower petals,
And then I watched them drop
to the ground once again.
