A very busy week.

Decided to hop over to Resort World Sentosa with the family last Sunday. We took a bus instead of driving over because the car park fees will be quite expensive (but my bus trip was $2.50 per trip per pax also) T.T Sighs.

I reckon there was nothing much for me to do over here, because we were not here for the amusement park or rides. The food here is so overpriced, that we had to bus back to IMM for dinner instead. However, since we were already here, we decided to head to Toastbox for tea. Even their Toast set costs $8, and their meal set was $11. Gosh.

But ohwell, sometimes it is good to travel a little (RWS is so freaking far) and breathe in some atas air. Hahahaha! 

(Pepperoni Pizza)

Saw this on a acquaintance'a dayre before and wanted to try it. They serve super huge-ass size pizza, so it was quite a novelty for me. However, it was quite expensive so we didn't manage to. T.T Hahaha, but JJ suggested this place, and I decided to give in to temptations. Hehes.

We ordered a large pizza for the two of us, which comprises 8 slices. Disclaimer: we are not gluttons to order a large one, it is just that the crust is very thin and I am very famished because I skipped lunch. LOL.

We got half salmon and half seafood. The pizza really tasted amazing, so much better than Pizzahut omg. But then again, if you are on a quest to save some money, Pepperoni Pizza might not be a wallet-friendly. LOL.

Headed to Botanics Garden for a walk after that. It is pitch-black at 8.30pm, and it was quite scary. Thankfully there were some joggers around. D scolded me insane for heading to botanics at such unearthly hours LOLOL. 

(Back to Toastbox)

Brought the little sister to Toastbox for lunch before she head to school, and I hoping to get some work done there as well. The downside is there was no wifi available, so I'm stuck with my readings. Hmm.

The Nasi Lemak set cost $8.10 (recall RWS' costs $11). It is quite small but quite nice, especially the fried chicken. Hehehes. (:

1. NM3215 lecture was cancelled last minute due to preparations for NUS open house tomorrow

2. Which means I can finally eat lunch on Fridays!

3. I have a lunch buddy as well. Went to packet chicken rice from the Deck with Chermin.

4. Licheng helped us all buy Sharetea, and I finally satisfied my cravings for pudding milk tea.

5. They brought me to a new place which is quite conducive for studying. I'm so sorry for the guy next to us, we were all eating and talking at the top of our voices and the poor guy beside us was trying very hard to study.

6. We ended up not studying but talked rubbish instead. Reasons why I love hanging out with them hehes (:

Attended the dreadful NM2212 lecture after which, and we were forced to take the front seats because we were late. This was so horrible, because it probably means that we will become 挡箭牌. Hahaha, professor is always shooting arrows at people asking them to answer.

And true enough, the professor pointed to both Licheng and I to answer one of the question. Omg, I was so tensed up. But thankfully Licheng was quite detailed in his explanation so I don't have to speak up (because usually both parties have to speak up). Hahahas thanks a lot for saving me!

If I know the answer I wouldn't mind being called. However, after eight weeks of lectures, I am still unable to figure what the hell is visual design. Indeed, I'm very lost.

So we caught our first movie together. Contemplated for very long before we decided on the movie/time/venue. LOL, because all the timings for the movie suck. Ended up catching the one at 8.20pm, and I got home 15 mins past midnight. It was a cold journey home with the strong winds, but my heart is feeling warm. (:

(The Grand Cathay)

My first time being at The Grand Cathay, and it is such a beautiful place. The walls and lighting are amazing! The movie Logan was not bad, but I prefer the other marvel movies though because in this show, everyone died in the ending. LOLOL, which is quite saddening. And being the emotional me, I teared up again Hahaha!

Thank you for coming all the way to school to find me. Hahaha, did some work together for a while first before heading out. Heh (:

I really appreciate everytime we head out together. Thanks for letting me forget all about my troubles (read: schoolwork and academic stress). It was always a good time with you.

By the way, did McDonald just increase their prices for the ice cream again? McFlurry now costs $2.70 and sundae is priced at $1.70 now?! Decided to try the lychee flavorburst instead, which I found quite refreshing, but he doesn't like it LOLOL!

Finally a breather from school.

Submitted project proposal three days ago, and am feeling very accomplished about it.  This was the first time I really put my all for a project, and I finally fully understand how it feels like to tank projects. T.T I learnt to appreciate smart and hardworking groupmates more.

And I submitted yet another assignment today. It was a flier individual assignment which I was quite excited for, but expectations often fail you yeahs. As I looked at everyone's submissions, I couldn't help but feel sour. Geeez, how come their fliers look so great but mine so ugly?! Praying to the bell curve god now. Art is so subjective, sighs.

First Llao Llao of the semester. Geeez, I think we really have no life. Used to eat llao llao like once a week, but for this semester we only ate once?! Geeez. And I also realised how much tv watching time I cut down this semester as well arghs.

Met Huiqi for dinner over D'good the other day because someone complained that she is too bored with Jurong East already HAHAHA. Overpriced spaghetti, but thankfully there's student discount which actually doesn't really deduct much because there's still gst.

Saved some money from not ordering green tea latte from D'good Cafe, so I can order ice cream. LOL! Would prefer Sunday Folks anytime but we forgot that they were not open on Mondays... Zzzz....

Last day of recess week was spent attending Kaiyuan's 21st birthday party. It was great because it has been close to 6 months since the last clique gathering LOL (whatever happened to us). I miss us.

Initially, I thought her theme was unicorn because she asked us to dress in pastel colours. Side note: Weina was right to wear pastel blue, but apparently not colour-coordinated with us LOL.

Anyways, so the theme was alpacca. Hahahaha how could I forget her love for alpacas! LOL, but yeahs. If I were to have a party, I thought of having a unicorn theme (see Naomi Neo's), so pretty! But nahs, I'm not having so yup. Just fantasizing.

Anyways, it was JR's birthday as well. But we drifted so much till I'm don't know what to say, except to feel apologetic. Partially my fault. Sighs. I'm sure you don't read this space, but still I'm thankful to have met you. Happy birthday :D

Throwback to Week 6 of school. We realised that we had not once stepped into Platypus this semester, so yup there we go! Decided to give the salad a miss and try their pasta instead, but boy, it was a terrible choice. LOL. So not worth it, because the pasta has nothing inside except for bacon bits and cheese? It costs $5.90 somemore. Geeeez. Conclusion: boycott. LOL.

I'm not a fan of expensive coffee (except Starbucks LOL), but decided to try this because it looks promising. But yup, it is really good! I got caramel espresso at $3.20 which is great because it is not too bitter, nor is it too sweet. Perfect! Amanda got this double chocolate drink, which is also not bad because the chocolate is very rich. It is very sweet but at least you got your money's worth because it's chocolate. LOLOL. Verdict: Go Platypus and try this! No regrets.

Shitty days.

When you get rejection letters over and over again... When people say that grades ain't everything, they are lying because they do matter. They are what people use to judge you before meeting you, they determine the opportunities that you will get.

When the rejections come one after another, you start doubting your self worth. Are you really worthless in the society? Why can't you get what you want? Are you asking for too much?

But no. You are not asking for too much. It is just that there are other people out there who deserve better opportunities than you. They are much capable than you, they have better achievements and better grades. You work hard, but it doesn't correlate to your results. Maybe people work harder than you, you don't know.

People don't understand you. They try to comfort you by saying all the bad things about those opportunities / good things about not getting them. But little did they know that, all you are looking for is some form of validation for your hard work. You are just measuring it in the form of opportunities.

Just suck it up, yanqi.
