'Cause, darling, I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream.

Day 2 in Taiwan

Woke up at 2.30am just for this. Hahahas! :D

(Gorgeous sunrise over at 合欢山, all rosy and salmon-pink)

(It excites me to see the sun slowly edging its way out of the mountains)

Since it is 2.30am when I woke up, guess what greeted me? Thousands, and millions, and trillions, and zillions twinkling stars! 一闪一闪亮晶晶. Such a sight is not to be seen in Singapore. LOLOL! :D Sorry, I was unable to take any pictures of that because my phone camera is too lousy, and it is unable to capture the beautiful night sky. However, I think that the best night sky that I had ever seen is still in Perth, Australia. :DDD

So yeahs, there is even an astronomer (they call him the 星星达人) who helps to explain and identify the stars in the sky, such as the 北斗七星. Okay, that's the only thing that I remembered. Lmao!!!

So after the star gazing and the sunrise session, we headed to hike the 合欢山主峰. Hahahas! Not literally hiked, because the road is like cemented already. LOL! :D

(Another glorious view of the sun)

(The scenery up in the mountains)

(The cemented path)

(See the sun rays?)

(I'm on cloud nine)

(I think I could really touch the sky)

(I climbed up a high flight of stairs just to take this view)

Although I didn't get to walk all the way to the top (it is actually quite okay, I think within an hour can reach the peak already) because I was having a headache (I guess from waking up too early T.T), the scenery looked like a picture that you would find in a storybook. The one word I would use is beautiful.

So after the entire expedition, the taxi drove us back to the resort for breakfast. It is only around 8am to 9am when I reach the resort. Can you imagine how hungry I am? To hike without having any food in my tummy T.T Bangwall.

(So I had a selfie with the cute bear in my room)

After changing out (the mountains are super cold, but my next destination would be summer), we headed to the 九族文化村 in 日月潭. It is actually an amusement park, but I had no time to play any rides because number one, I reached there only in the afternoon, and number two, the area is toooooo big that we even need to use cable cars to travel. T.T

(Me in the boat towards the pier to 九族文化村)

(At the harbour)

The moment we reached there, off to hiking again T.T Bangwall much. I'm like being sent to a concentration camp by my mummy in Taiwan, instead of enjoying my holidays.

(Reminds me of Bukit Timah Hill)

(绿绿的草,蓝蓝的海)

(The glistening waters looked inviting)

(Finally, we reached the peak)

So we hiked back to the harbour and took the boat to the next station. (: And I had my first bubbletea in Taiwan. And I fell in love with their 阿萨姆红茶. Damn freaking delicious. What's Alishan tea when you have this 阿萨姆红茶? :D

(First bubbletea!)

(Lunch that does not appeal to me)

(A floating house)

Then we travelled to the final stop via the cable cars: the long-awaited 九族文化村! I love cable cars! :DDD

(Cable cars that travel through the mountains)

(View from my cable car)

I am quite a scenery person, I guess. I can stop and keep taking pictures of sceneries and forget about everything around me. 自我陶醉, lmao! :D Bad habit.

(I want to take my wedding pictures here!)

(The petal bath)

(Glistening clear-blue waters)

(Walking with rows of trees towering over you)

(Beautiful plant species they have)

(Trying out an artistic feel, so I hugged a tree)

(So you can see many of these 'figures' around)

(More trees)

(And even statues)

(A tree in isolation)

(More statues)

(Beautiful painting)

(Awesome coordination)

So instead of playing the rides in this gigantic and enormous amusement park, I learned a lot about the different tribes thriving in the mountains of Taiwan. I learned their way of living, their culture and traditions and everything. It is quite a worthwhile whilst fulfilling trip.

(Garden near the exit)

(Very European style building which is actually a restaurant)

(The mansion is in my hands. Call me queen!)

(But there is this weird bear that appeared in the middle of the garden out of nowhere)

The bear is actually a statue, planted right in the middle of the European garden. I must say, that it is quite disturbing? Because it does not even fit in here! Omg. Anyways, I returned back to the hotel after a long day. It was super tiring, and my legs are damn sore.

(The hotel by the road)

(Dinner at a roadside stall)

(My dinner which again, looked unplatable)

Hahahas, I had a hard time typing this out because I am so lazy T.T But anyways, I miss my trip to Taiwan! All the shopping, and my 臭豆腐 and 阿萨姆红茶!

'Cause we're young and we're reckless
We'll take this way too far
It'll leave you breathless
Or with a nasty scar.
